The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, twin-tail, variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft. The Tomcat was developed for the United States Navy's Naval Fighter Experimental program after the collapse of the F-111B project.
The Messerschmitt Me 262, nicknamed Schwalbe in fighter versions, or Sturmvogel in fighter-bomber versions, was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft.

If you really want to drive the point home, engage at beyond visual range with the AIM-54's. I was half expecting the the first engagement to be "Fox Three. Fox Three. Let's go home".
How about downing an entire squadron or two with just the Phoenix? Put that 6 to 1 ratio to the test.
The AIM 120 Amraam is Fox 3, the AIM 54 Phoenix is fox 4 ;-)

Took long enough to gun those 262's.
Winner: tomcat because it has radar fire a missile at a target way out of visual range and if it has to engage a target it can easily out maneuver and fly twice as fast so it can easily shoot down the German fighter using guns alone
Put the same technology on the me 262 and then let's see who wins it'll probably be the tomcat but its a interesting thought?

I'm pretty sure there is a major error in that landing sequence. There is an F14 in the landing area with the canopy up. FOUL DECK!
Can you do a NATO vs Eastern Block friendly competition tank drag race with other players? 1st Race: Leopard 1A1 vs T-62, and 2nd Race: M1A2 Abrams vs T-14 Armata.

The Abrams is powered by a gas turbine, so a stripped down version might have an unfair advantage.
Guys, this is a bit ridiculous. ANY modern jet would have produced the same result. You are talking about at least a 40 year leap in technology. Why not try an F 86 against an Me 262? Then at least it would be a little more realistic.
Tomcats could use Phoenix missiles to take them out way before they came into visual view.

and was the landing a replay or you watched a wingman to land?

in real life the f-14 would have killed the ME 262 from miles away. but i suspect if it turned into a knife fight the german would have a slim chance

I'm unsure how difficult the controls are in Arma 3, but whomever is the pilot of the F-14 is a shit pilot, as they almost never lead their target, always spraying & praying, behind the target, instead of in front. Also the F-14 is way more maneuverable then shown.
The 14 has a lead computing gun sight. No lead required. The game likely doesn’t have that included.

Back in WW2 there were no missiles for airplanes on either side.
Unless you're talking about V-1, which was never intended for air to air combat.

They did deploy some terrible SAMs through, iirc.

F14 Tomcat will win because it has good turn arm with missiles and has a sweep wing while the Me 262 has low turn and no missile just machine gun
I don’t even understand the point of this, the F14 had look down-shoot down capability and could engage targets from 30 miles out and hit mach 2. The me262 would never see it coming
The F-14 Tomcat has the most powerful radar of any fighter plane ever, including up to this day. It could see 100+ miles away.
With these projectiles, it's such a crapshoot. Make it a pure wheel-to-wheel fight. No rockets or other boosters. Modern machines must only have a cannon at their disposal.
But the modern fighters are still incredibly fast and tactics have evolved, so it wouldn't really make much of a difference

How about this I'm not even going to play this game at all because I have a few other games that would have better than this one but that aside, there's no possible way that the tomcats radar block missiles could lock onto an aircraft that has no radar so how the heck does that work I don't know you tell me.
