yea man! Having a modded psp plus dual sd card adapter is amazing, even in 2018! I love my PSP. It's a slim 2000, it used to be my brother's way back. I remember the UMDs. Now, everything on it is digital. sold the discs to gamestop.
Apparently you need to set the NES emulator to 600+MHz (624 at most or else it starts freezing at random) for it to work properly. At the default 528MHz, it lagged noticeably when scrolling. Otherwise, this is a great little gadget, works very well. I'm using the 2.0 opendingux firmware.

I just bought a rs-97 with opendingux ... I would like to understand why czdoom and prboom do not start even though there are all the files in the folders. instead Duke nukem 3d works without problems. possibly someone could explain to me how to install games like czdoom or other .wad? or anyway where I can find a guide because I'm new in the opendingux world
I just purchased this like ten days ago, can't wait. Ten years ago, I used a fucking DS lite to play NES games lol. Hopefully this thing is much better for this purpose.
by the way, does the nes emulator on this thing allow fullscreen stretching? Because in your video, it plays with native NES aspect ratio which is smaller than the screen.

For those who think that this is redundant because an android smartphone is capable of emulating those games, you are wrong. The problem is that it is very hard to emulate hardware buttons with touch screen control. A Bluetooth controller is extremely bulky and non portable. A RS-97 is necessary for portable retro gaming.
@kenversus I got this recently and want to add some cps games to my microsd card. The games are in zip files but don’t seem to run. Any ideas how I can get them to work? Should mention that the firmware I’ve got is stock. Thanks
Sorry for the necro, but I believe the Revo K101+ was better for GBA games simply because it was a hardware clone instead of just an emulator. I own one and can vouch that it handles everything I've thrown at it flawlessly (Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green, DBZ Buu's Fury, Super Mario Advance 1-4, etc. The only downside was that it didn't handle any other systems well at all (GB/GBC/Sega Master games, all of them had poor performance), and the Revo K101+ is no longer available unless you can find it second hand somewhere.

thanks, your guide is great. I just got my rs97 and wow, the default firmware is horrible. Even NES and GBA are unplayable, while surprisingly some of the arcade games run great. Hardware is great though! Feels nice, has a perfect weight, good buttons, very good d-pad, the plastic is solid. I sure hope that with the opendingux it'll emulate much better. Just need to get an sdhc card now lol
nobody's fool i havent been able to download them but when i tried to make my account for dingoonity, it said that it was awaiting admin aprooval but it has been nearly two weeks and they havent aprooved my account. Its been very difficult. If you know anything i can do please let me know.

Finally finished. Installed 2.1 and the custom firmware runs great! A little lag here and there but works 10000 times better than the stock firmware

The resolution is better. The ds looked weird running nes games. This is better for sure.
yeah and I imagine it's also easier to hold. The DS was so unbalanced with its heavy upper screen, stupid design honestly.

When connect to my PC via usb cable my PC cant connect to the RS97 despite it show "USB Drive Connected" . I cant copy new games to RS97.
Go to your storage manager in computer management and assign it to a drive.

Depends on the emulators. But I usually bring up the menu and save that way. Again different for each emulator.

I believe the latest firmware, 2.0, you have to copy the emulators and apps to the SD card. It comes with the external pack and has instructions.

With the stock firmware it'll let you save yes. But if you want the latest emulators you have to update it.
