So for their Escape Rooms- Impulse stuck with the technical aspects of Minecraft, Joel for goofy melodrama, and Grian for psychological horror. They were all so well done; absolutely amazing!

The Architechs are basically Mumbo, Grian and Iskall in s6 Infinity rooms are in s6 and s9 Loops are things such as the time machine in s6 it was? Or s7 Poultry man was s6 The Barge is in s7, the G-train in s8 The hidden base in someone elses base was s7 I think.
It's so interesting to me that Grian's and Joel's rooms were both very *them*, whereas a lot of Impulse's room is SO geared towards *who will run it* right from the start.

I actually got the order right! :D I watched Grain's first, then Joel's where they made a reference to Grian's POV (Joel's room), and now I'm watching Impulse where they made a reference to Joel's POV (Impulse's room)! So I'm assuming they played Joel's escape room first, then moved on to Impulse's escape room (where Grian referenced Joel's room from the recurring theme of Jimmy compliments bit), and lastly did Grian's escape room, where Joel referenced Impulse's room with the "I'm the smart one" at the beginning.

I love how the soundtrack choosen by Impulse (or his editor, if he has one) compliments well every moment and the whole concept of Grian's escape room. When they got to understand they were in a loop, the music kinda gave me a vibe of Celeste (the indie game) as if they really were digging into Grian's mind in a floaty dreamy way..
If Grian wanted to be REALLY evil, he could have replaced one of the sculk blocks in the Mumbo room with a sculk catalyst. They have slightly different top textures, and if they used the scaffolding to slowly die of fall damage, he could have used observers to detect some stone changing to sculk that would have been placed underneath.
Impulse and Joel both had fun challenges and puzzles while Grian went Earthbound levels of existential. It really picked up in the last bit where Impulse and Joel were stuck in Grian's mind. What really sells the existentialism of it is the question "are slides still fun?" Haunting.

Gotta say Joel's was torturous but Grian's was a form of torture on a whole new level... this is mental screwery His was an actual escape room with puzzles that you would definitely want to escape
I would love to see more one-off videos or short series like this, especially collabs! They're a very fun way to get more minecraft content that isn't exclusively hermitcraft (not that I don't love hermitcraft too!) It has the same vibe as Grian's old build swap videos which were hilarious. Love when we get to see other folks, how they play and how their personalities work together. The HC/Empires crossover introduced me to a lot of new people to follow who I had never watched before!
