- So today I decided to build another Escape Room In Minecraft and force some TH-camrs to do it and see who could get out the quickest!

Knowing that Grian filmed this like casually halfway a Phasmo game with Skizz, Scar and Impulse makes it even better. Now we why Impulse was so annoyed Grian was back to Phasmo that quick 😂

I love how fast Grian went from "this stupid game" and "I'm never coming back" to "I take it all back, I appreciate you Scott and I will be back for the next one" once he found out he won. It gave me flashbacks to his 1.20 stream where he was berating chat for giving him wrong instructions ("I need silk touch for cobwebs, I'm never trusting you guys again") only for chat to be right ("I would like to apologize, I will never doubt you guys again")
I remember that stream! He got mad at us because the server lagged

The lever puzzle: exists
Impulse: figures out the puzzle
Gem: pulls the first lever "rabbits"
Grian: pulls all the levers
Etho: Checks for all possible solutions and chooses the odd one out.
Jimmy: * pulls random one * *_yes_*
Idk what anyone was expecting with what Grian did lol, it is very much like him to just flick levers and hit buttons without any thought
Seeing each of their thought process was hilarious cause it totally reflects their personalities
Great job!! If you look up NOR and NAND switches you can stop people breaking your lever room by just flicking all. They are not too advanced
everyone putting the string in the hopper, the scott giving them more string, only for them to immediately put it all back in the hopper again is amazing.
Etho explained it perfectly. You can use a comparator to determine when the right number of items is reached. That's how storage rooms function. It makes perfect sense that they had just missed the string on that side that also needed to go in. It's actually a poorly made part of the puzzle, since that exact sorting system can be used to *only* take a white wool.
I think they were all lightly shaming Scott for being bad at redstone :P
Escape rooms should not be soft-lock-able

I think giving them more string actually made it harder as if I had like 7 strings I'd go. " Oh, I need to give it a certain amount" instead of making wool. So while dumb proofing it, scott made it less dumb proof

The fact that grian recently pulled the same light grey glass pane trick on scar, plus his affinity for pulling all the levers, not to mentionhis experiencewith the infinity room traps, it gave him the leg up in this specific maze.

I love how Grian and Etho just kept feeding the dropper string, not even thinking that there would be a different reason.
Not to mention that a few seconds earlier Etho did think about crafting a wool block 4:32 😆
Etho probably thought the amount of items matter, since he mentioned a comparator.
The players found a way to torture the game master by endlessly feeding the dropper string.
I loved this. Etho is a "menace" and Scott is a "Devious troll" what an awesome pairing!

He likely got through infinity room really fast,it didn't show much of the quiz so maybe he got that really quickly?

Grian loves to just mess around and absolutely WASTE time. I'm so so glad that, this time, he managed to sustain a strong effort and beat the others by 4+ minutes.
I like how Etho double checked the other hallway, and used the 4 string because "you'd give him more", doing the absolute opposite of a good speedrun tactic.
I love that the Life Series means we now get to see Impulse and Etho in these.

Wouldn’t a lot of people pick the egg, as it is not a mob drop but instead you have to wait for a chicken to lay it? That seems like a more pronounced difference
That's where I went, too. 'The egg is dropped, the rest of them you need to kill the mob to get.'

I love that Grian's trolling past combined with his immediate instinct to try everything made he pass through the entire thing with around 4 minutes between his time and Etho's. Lol

The amount of 'if they're clever' vs 'if they're stupid' when it's actually just 'do they guess the answer which was intuitive to scott despite having no distinction or indicators' was impressive :P
(I personally hate odd one out questions, it's like egg: only passive (non murder) drop, bone: only hostile mob drop, ink: only non-land drop. I can't figure out a way to distinguish leather and rabbit hide though, but I'm sure there's *something*. Something to do with barterable/tradable?)
The fact that everyone put string in was very funny, Scott somehow thinking that wouldn't be the default deduction boggles me XD. At least if you'd had a filter underneath it wouldn't have accepted them!
The funny thing about Grian is that he already does things in ways that are purposely not usually done so when it comes to an escape room it doesn’t surprise me in the least that he cleared it that quickly

Just for future: you can lock the item frames so they can't punch the maps out.
Also impulse item filter under the wool collection would make so it only took the wool and would have lef rest of the items in the dispenser so they could have gotten their used items back.
Seeing etho do so good fills my little heart with joy
I like Impulse's alternative solutions - like using the wool to get onto the parkour.

The problem with 'which is not like the other' questions: is that most of those questions could have a case made for all objects:
Rabbit (I think thats the only that only has 1 crafting use since I think it is only used for making leather)
Leather (can be made into armor directly)
Ink sacs (can be made into a dye directly (i think bones need to be meal first)
Bone (hostile drop {used in vid}
Egg( only throwable + only can be crafted into something edible)
I am mostly sure all of that is right

Scott’s the type of guy to see an escape room and ask “is anyone gonna trap their friends in it” and not wait for an answer
I love how impulse crafted a bow in the desert room and Etho crafted a fishing rod
I think that the "different from the others" part is especially difficult since you can get all the items except the egg from killing a mob, and by killing a fish you could get a bone, so its not specific to a hostile mob.
Scott just loves to watch his friends suffering and being frustrated with the things he puts them though 😆
Everyones different reactions to the obstacles and varying levels of exasperation at scott are iconic
I like how in the odd one out puzzle every item could be the odd one out.
Rabbit Hide was added in 1.8 while the rest were 1.2 or earlier.
Leather is dropped from the most mobs compared to the other items and can be crafted from one other item from the group (rabbit hide)
Ink Sac is dropped from a water based mob and not a land based mob.
Bone is only dropped from hostile mobs, no passive mobs (Scott’s original reasoning of it being the only item of the group that can drop from a hostile mob is wrong due to the Hoglin being a hostile mob and being able to drop leather.)
Egg is the only item that can be dropped from a mob without killing the mob.
This was delightful to watch! Super cool to see Etho playing in one of your games. :)
