Im have C5 2001 2.2 HDI and this is real challenge.....im change almost everything last 5 years....now work almost perfect but two things still killing this work....engine braking ... vibration at approx. 1900 to 1800 rpm and does not want to go above 3500 rpm when accelerating .... And this video its really nice show.....this car need dismount half car almost everytime for better acces:-)

Copper is fine. This is why an injector is seated into an aluminim head with a copper washer. I have no idea where this 'copper is a problem suddenly' urban myth comes from?
It's quite a bit of work but nothing compared to VW or Ford engines. Often those glow plugs break and if you'll lucky spend a few hours of drilling them out. If not you'll have to remove the whole head 🤦🏻♂️

It's a nightmare this engines. Reliable engines but to remove glow plugs , egr or turbo it's a nightmare to any skilled mechanic

Fair bit of work in comparison to same year 8v 2.0 hdi. It is a higher spec 16v motor with DPF mind you.
How much would a job like that cost with plugs
In my country the price is about 120-160€ or even more, it depends on the amount of work.
