    I'm so happy to see this! I was practicing Vodou for about three years at the end of over a decade in the occult, before being converted. People in the Church in America need to know more about this. God bless you Fr!

      @@Beanbag777 Yes, I did. One such thing, during a public street Vodou Fest on All Hallows Eve in New Orleans 2008, my husband was sitting next to a person who became possessed.
      The point of Vodou is possession, to be rode by the Loa. But as I wasn't part of a larger Vodou group, because of my rural northern location (we were visiting family and making a Vodou pilgrimage in Louisiana), I hadn't experienced any of that up until that point. Now I see what a blessing that was!
      I had previously witness another possession, not related to Vodou, in my other occult practices. I was, foolishly, devoted to Hades and Persephone. Hades once possessed a male fellow coven member to relay a message to me.
      Thanks be to God, He revealed himself to my husband and myself, simultaneously, in the Eucharist, and we were delivered from that darkness.

      @@AbsurdScandal While we were still practicing witchcraft, I started to feel a draw to the Catholic Church in our hometown...I kept trying to dismiss it and couldn't. Trepidatiously, I approached my husband about this. The first words out of his mouth were, "Well, that's crazy." It was already such a hard thing to give voice to that I became defensive, but then he started to chuckle and said, "No, the reason I said that is because for the last two weeks, every time I drive by Sacred Heart to and from work, I have been feeling the same way!" I was astounded. So we decided to go that coming Sunday. My husband had never been to a Catholic mass and I had only been 1 other time, 15 years prior, at the age of 12. When the priest elevated the host, I was struck with this internal knowledge, that only Grace could have allowed, that THIS was the One True God. I was floored. My husband was given this Grace at the same moment, and for him he saw radiant light shining forth from the Eucharist. We finished mass and shared what happened with each other in the parking lot. We basically knew we had experienced the Only True God and the The Catholic Faith was the only True faith. We knew we were going to have to respond. So we went the next Sunday. And while nothing miraculous happened that Sunday, we knew. We knew we had found God and Truth and that we would need to convert and become Catholic. It was Lent, and we came into The Church that Easter vigil, 2009. All Praise be to the Good God!
      May He richly bless you and yours.

      @@allisgrace1313 Thanks for the wonderful testimony! Fr. Donald Calloway (whom Fradd interviewed as well, hope you saw that!) had the same experience of just knowing the elevated Host was God!
      One more question if you don't mind: Would you describe this internal knowledge as akin to the veil being removed and you in some real sense SEEING (not physically but spiritually, deeper than physical eyesight) directly that this was God? Or is it more like becoming aware of a fact / piece of info about reality that was true - kinda like learning maybe? I also wondered this about Calloways's experience.
      And God bless you and keep you too!

      Unfortunately a lot of these religions like voodoo or the death cult in my native Mexico use catholic imagery, but they are nothing alike. They misuse catholic imagery, symbols and statues but without the meaning that Catholicism has. They are a poor imitator and they are truly idol worshippers. Catholics don't worship statues, from the catholic point of view the statues are no different from a portrait of a loved one who is no longer with us. Voodoo and death cults do worship them and use the statues in their strange rituals.

    Most of the sorcery in Haiti occurs at the hand of preachers who claim of the Biblical religions. Another less known but very important source of bad occultism in Haiti is Freemasonry. The voodoo culture comes only as a distant third, and even then they take a great care to give different badges and ranks to those who practice the religion of the name and the sorcery of the name. Yet only voodoo is attacked.

    Friday, Week 34, Ordinary Time
    Daniel 7:2-14
    I saw in my vision by night, and behold the four winds of the heavens strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts, different one from another, came up out of the sea. The first was like a lioness, and had the wings of an eagle: I beheld till her wings were plucked off, and she was lifted up from the earth, and stood upon her feet as a man, and the heart of a man was given to her. And behold another beast, like a bear, stood up on one side: and there were three rows in the mouth thereof, and in the teeth thereof, and thus they said to it: Arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld, and lo, another like a leopard, and it had upon it four wings, as of a fowl, and the beast had four heads, and power was given to it. After this I beheld in the vision of the night, and lo, a fourth beast, terrible and wonderful, and exceeding strong, it had great iron teeth, eating and breaking in pieces, and treading down the rest with his feet: and it was unlike to the other beasts which I had seen before it, and had ten horns. I considered the horns, and behold another little horn sprung out of the midst of them: and three of the first horns were plucked up at the presence thereof: and behold eyes like the eyes of a man were in this horn, and a mouth speaking great things. I beheld till thrones were placed, and the ancient of days sat: his garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like clean wool: his throne like flames of fire: the wheels of it like a burning fire. A swift stream of fire issued forth from before him: thousands of thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times a hundred thousand stood before him: the judgment sat, and the books were opened. I beheld, because of the voice of the great words which that horn spoke: and I saw that the beast was slain, and the body thereof was destroyed, and given to the fire to be burnt: And that the power of the other beasts was taken away: and that times of life were appointed them for a time, and a time. I beheld, therefore, in the vision of the night, and lo, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and he came even to the ancient of days: and they presented him before him. And he gave him power, and glory, and a kingdom: and all peoples, tribes, and tongues shall serve him: his power is an everlasting power that shall not be taken away: and his kingdom that shall not be destroyed.
    Luke 21:29-33
    And he spoke to them a similitude. See the fig tree and all the trees: When they now shoot forth their fruit, you know that summer is nigh; So you also, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is at hand. Amen, I say to you, this generation shall not pass away till all things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

    • @youtubecharlie1
      @youtubecharlie1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure you are aware of what this company promotes, or if you are living in ignorance. The people who own the company may or may not actually believe that the supernatural is real, but the devil doesn't care. In fact, the devil wants everyone to think he (and eternal damnation) is not real because it goes against God's will - *1Tim 2:2-4 "...God our Saviour, Who sill have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God..."* . In fact, when you visit the website, one of the first things you see (in bold letters) is: *"DON'T BE SCARED. IT'S JUST WATER."* You can even "sell your soul for a free shirt," as if that is something to be joking about; it goes against the virtue of piety, since man is made in the image and likeness of *God* (Gen 1:26).

    • @youtubecharlie1
      @youtubecharlie1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another extremely gross aspect of the company is the fact that they actually *sold skateboards with Tony Hawk's blood infused into the paint*, similar to Lil Nas X and the shoes he sold; both have appeared on social media together; Liquid Death does not even try to show whether this is true or not. There is another portion of the website that sells "music" with lyrics mocking religious rebukes towards them, such as, "Think It's Funny to Joke About Eternal Damnation?"
      They clearly take the supernatural as a joke, which goes against the virtue of religion. Part of being Catholic means you are aware of the realities of hell and the demonic. Matt, I believe you are causing scandal by unintentionally (or intentionally) associating yourself with such a brand. To even joke about such things is outright stupid. Matt, I hope you wake up and realize what you are doing.

      A demon can take a soul that has been redeemed by Christ. Sin is usually the entry point for such a demon. What do you mean by "saved"? In the state of grace? I don't know if a demon can possess a soul in the state of grace, but I do know of cases in which possessed souls were restored to the state of grace before their exorcism was complete. If by "saved" you mean secure in their salvation, that can't happen until a person dies in the state of grace.

    • @aurorausagi3235
      @aurorausagi3235 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not in principle, since Multiple Personality Disorder is a natural mental disorder usually caused by a deep trauma in early life stages, before personality is fully developed.
      However, it could happen that someone with this condition -in addition to that-, suffered from extraordinary influence of a demon, complicating the discernment of the case. The formation and protocol an exorcist receives, probably includes confirming some pecularities that in no case would be natural (for instance responding to hidden mental prayers, or speaking languages the possesed would not be able to know).

    • @kwkw5711
      @kwkw5711 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Could be psychiatric disorder. The protocol is to exclude all other causes before suspecting possession. An exorcist would consult medical doctors to see if this was a medical issue or mental issue . People have physical and mental illnesses which need treatment by doctors.

The devil tested Jesus after his 40 days fasting and Jesus responded with “it is written” and stated a scripture. The word of God also states the angels harken to God’s word so state the scriptures relating to whatever you’re dealing with and angels will work for you. Remind God of His word and it will not return unto you void. Fasting is a discipline which needs to be added to any believer’s life. In Bible, passage where disciples couldn’t deliver someone and they later asked Jesus and He explained “this kind only comes out by fasting and prayer”, meaning there are some demons, some evil powers, some situations that require another level of warfare and that’s the adding of fasting. Remember everything is birthed in the spiritual before it manifests itself in the natural. Pray and fast. Also get in the word of God daily. I recommend you all to look up Kevin LA Ewing on TH-cam as he has in depth teachings on fasting and so much more. All he teaches is backed up with word of God and not his opinion. It is unlike anything you’ve heard in church. Remember scripture states “my people perish because of lack of knowledge”. May God bless you all abundantly.

    He speaks of Haitians who pray to Vodun Lao (spirit) and end up "possessed by demons." But what of the Haitians who practice their ancestral religion and have their prayers answers? Was it a demon who answered the prayer and did something good? And if so, doesn't that mean demons spend most of their time answering the prayers of non-Christians. So...how are they "demonic" exactly? That's one of the many weaknesses of Christian cosmology: any supernatural occurrence in another religion has to be chalked up to "demons," which means that most demons spend their time doing good...which would make them the good guys.
    It just doesn't make any sense.

      No one who prays for something outiside of the Father's will has their prayers answered. And if they do get answered, its merely by chance. For example, for all the people who bow down to rocks, trees and metals (idols), they are praying to nothing, they are praying to "gods" that dont exist. Nonetheless, if they pray for a job and find one the next day because someone posted a recruiting ad on their business door, thats chance, not an answered prayer because idols are merely idols

      I think your question is "how do we know it's a demon or not". I think there are tell tale signs. Like if answer given involves sin or vice.

      Because there's no other way around it, it will always be bound to spirits who are not of God but those who are in league with the evil one. And if you mean a demon gave person A something good, it would likely be a deceit my friend. The promise of Christianity is not prosperity and magical solutions to problems, it is the way of the cross. But of course, God merits the kindness one does, but not through the simple minded ideals of human beings. To discern good and bad spirits is a very complicated subject in itself, and btw there's no such thing as "Christian cosmology", that's new age stuff.

      @@apracity7672 So what of followers of other religions who experience the miraculous? Also, the same objections you make to a pagan having their prayers answered could be made for a Christian.

    • @rumrunner8019

      @@user-dx5bn4yk4f First of all, there is a Christian cosmology: the belief that God created the universe and has angels and that the devil exists and has demons? That is a cosmology. Almost every religion has a cosmology.
      Second, again, many billions of non-Christians experience miracles in their respective religions and have their prayers answered. From a Christian worldview, the only answers is "demons." But there are so many answered prayers and miracles from other religions, that would mean demons would spend most of their time doing good and hence they couldn't really be considered evil.
