Hey Chico . I just followed your video to install an alternator . Where you had issues I didn't . I had issues where you didn't . but we got through it. Thanks for being thorough.
Good job with the video, I like your approach! Your method looks easier than others I watched. This is a job i wasn't looking forward to. Thanks for showing me how to do it easier!
@@BUTLR_ do you have a big wrench? it is hard so you really need a big wrench so you can have more laverage, also you first put the belt on the alternator and then finish on the power steering pump.
realistically no, any new mechanic will get on your ass but the truth is, you can have a ton of damaged fins before it doesnt work properly, fins dont hold coolant the pipes in between them do, hard to see them though. its fine just try to focus damage control if you do have to do that
I saw the fin damage and was thinking about that when he was removing the alternator. I think maybe a sheet of steel or aluminum roll flashing slid in against the radiator would protect it while you move the alternator. What do you think?
thanks!!!! made it easy. now i misplaced the bolts and dont remember which of the bottom two was longer was it the side of the passenger or the driver the two lower bolts which was longer
what i do is i just get it out of the tensioner and tight it with a piece of rope or some thing similar so i dont loose routing but if you already lost routing then, it is better to take the tire out of there and put it from beneath first, put it on all the pulleys and make sure it does not come off the grooves from any where and finish it on top.
@@JM-AUTO yep I followed what you did and used bungee cord to hold the belt and I put new Alternator in. and I didn’t loose the routing of the belt. But now I’m having so much trouble trying to put the piece of the belt back underneath onto the alternator . I’m loosing the tensioner and trying so hard but i can’t get it . Any tips
My battery light will not turn off. I have replaced my alternator 2x (original honda), new battery, changed the electric load module detector, all fuses are good, and it still won't turn off. any advice?
sorry for the delay, there are some steps to take and i think if you are familiar with wire diagram and testing, here is the link of the video with wire diagram and repair with the software: th-cam.com/video/D5MkOSNC1FA/w-d-xo.html

How can I put the belt back on the new alternator , it’s so hard for me

Glad it helped thanks for sharing.
Good job, thanks for this.
thank you.
great job, i notice you have to slide the alternator against the radiator. is that damage enough to harm the radiator?
good question, not at all if i would damage the radiator i wounlnt take out the alternator like that, it is safe. thanks for coming to my channel.

@@jimtownsend7899 or maybe some cardboard ?
@@glennhansel9411 That could work, too.

the one on the driver side is a little bit longer or right if you stand in front of the engine.
Gtacias paisano apenas entendi pero me sirvio muchooooo🎉🎉🎉
gracias Amigo y todos mis video en ingles tambien estan en espanol en mi otro canal en espanol, vediciones a Usted y su Familia.
Good video but wow so many things to take off before you get to your destination piece.
yes you also can do it by the top by taking out the PSP thanks for sharing.
It would have been less trouble to remove the air intake, coolant reservoir, and the fan
Reference replacing the starter.
Helpful. Thanks!
thank you I appreciate it.
great video, first time trying to fix my car myself 204 crv. Is there a way you can show me how to put the belt back on alternator?

When that grinder wheel with no guard, comes apart, it will hurt. Cray they design this to make it so difficult to change the alternator.
awesome vid! Thanks!
thank you for your beautiful comment and stay bless.
Thakns 🙏
thanks I really appreciate your time on this channel.
Nice dish glove bro!😂
Thanks 😅 for the visit.
I find the CRV much harder to work on than the Honda Accord due to lack of access to accessories.
Why did we have to remove everything from the underside?
to access the alternator.

Did you figure it out? Did you check tensioner and belt condition? Tensioner has mark with arrow showing wear on spring.
@@trevorfaulkner4934 nope, sold as is to a mechanic. I ended up buying a Kia PHEV
Did this solve the P0139 ?
My mistake, p0139 was a different video. I like how you did this, I feel more comfortable trying myself
thank you very apprecited.
What is the name of that tool you used to remove the bots
milwaukee 3/8 cordless ratchet, thanks for watching.
Holy $hit!! You have to remove all that to remove the altenator?? Think I'll stick to older BMW's.
older BMWs are worthy, they really are great vehicles,
Men porque no lo hace espan̈ol mejor , you get it
Todos mis videos en Ingles estan tambien en spañol en mi canal d TH-cam en español
Проще зняти впускний колектор. І нормальний доступ до генератора.
I feel like you made this process way more complicated than it really should have been. Half the video was just you removing things
thanks for watching.
I think he did a great job! Maybe we need the other half of the video. You ever think your opinion DOESNT MATTER.
I wouldn’t bet money on it.
