How is that confusing? It clearly says he’s been to airports before but due to the fact his/her/they’s parent took care of the process for them, they never actually learnt how to go from airport arrival to sitting in the plane.
thanks, i want to fly alone to see a good friend and i’ve never been on a plane or in an airport before update: i flew from the UK to the USA and it went so good!
Nice video, but gate agents do not direct you to your seat. When you board the plane the FA will direct you to your seat, usually they will tell which aisle to walk down. Your seat number is printed on your boarding pass, will have a number for the row and a letter for your seat. Above the seats on the the overhead bins will show the row and seat numbers. Gate agents will just verify your boarding pass and let you board the plane. Also in regards to passports make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your trip.
Thanks for the video going to Beijing next month. First time flying and first time over seas. I also have two connecting flights prior to my destination. Scared outta my mind. 😂
Great video, really helpful! Ok, so I check in from my computer in my house 24 hours before my flight. Then, at the airport, fist step is to go to my airlines, but why? To get the boarding pass? If not, then why to go to the airlines? Then, I have to go to the check-in bag computer located in the area of my airlines. Then, security. Then, look at the monitor to see which gate, go there and sit, and wait to call you. After arriving, go to pick your check in luggage. Go to customs and immigration. Free to go!
I feel the same and my holiday isn't until next year, was booked last night and I'm already so nervous looking up videos on things people do all the time like it's nothing !!! I'm so scared !!!
I'm going to my country Spain in some days and I'm nervous Cuase I'm only eleven and but idk how to like know where to go in the airport as it's so big
It depends if it's one itinerary or two separate tickets. For separate tickets, you usually collect your baggage and repeat the entire process. If your point of entry is the only immigration point in the journey, you will need to clear the immigration as well. But for the tickets on a single itinerary, you can directly connect to your next destination. Hope this helps :)
@@mytravelonadime awh that's put my mind at rest! Thanks!( I just wanted to know cos I have a very short layover and dreaded the idea of having to go through the whole procedure again...)!
You will have done customs and immagration checks at Dublin so your flight will be treat as a domestic one when you land in America you may be required to go for further security screening when you change but you don't have to worry about Customs and passport checks. Bags should be checked all the way to your destination if it's on one ticket
But if i want to travel to Italy, from Nigeria and we have to at Doha airport before heading to Italy.will I go claim my baggage in Doha again when I haven't gotten to my destination or no need for that till I get to my destination italy then I can claim my luggage.i want to know please because I'm planning to leave my country for the first time.
This will depend on two things. If your entire trip is one itinerary, you will collect your luggage in Italy. If you booked your tickets separately or if there is a layover of more than 24 hours, then you will need to do immigration in Doha, collect your luggage and check in again for Italy. Confirm what your tickets say and accordingly get your visa. Also check out my other video on how to answer immigration questions at the airport. Hope this helps. Good luck
Cos someone tried to make plane go boom with some explosive liquids that failed though. However there are new scanners available now that many airports are getting that would allow those limits to be increased or removed completely.
Bruh it’s not that I’ve never been in a plane before it’s that I never listened and watched to my parents do it for me 😭
Same I fly in airplane once in a year but still I have never paid attention 😅

Having precleared at Dublin, do I go DIRECTLY to my connecting flight on landing in america or will I have to go through it all again?

So why strict on liquid
Due to the possibility of being other chemical
Cos someone tried to make plane go boom with some explosive liquids that failed though. However there are new scanners available now that many airports are getting that would allow those limits to be increased or removed completely.
Hi how about gold jewelry. Is consider as metal and need to remove or not.
Normally Asian countries does not ask to remove gold. Kindly explain
Depends on the amount of jewelry you wear. If it triggers the metal detector, they will ask you to remove it and pass through the x-ray scanner.
@@mytravelonadimethank you so much for your reply

Are perfumes not allowed too??
Less than 100ml is allowed. For more detailed info check out my other videos on Carry on luggage items.

where to get a boarding pass?
You can get it in email if you check in online. Or you can get it at the airport from the airline counter when you check in your luggage
6-9 months??? thats really early
Exactly why the flights are cheap during that time
