Either ask only with return ticket if you are travelling as a tourist. Make quicker is your turn to the Immigration always insert your Ticket copy and hotel booking at the passport and boarding pass.

On the question “ have you Been here before” it Will be in their computer system if it was recent especially if your on a visa run to the Philippines in particular
That's nice Ian! Most countries will probably have info on a person's previous visits which is why it is very important to tell the truth in case they ask this question.
