Missed opportunity for MC to tell a sad backstory. Something like: "My parents were killed by a group of bandits when I was a little boy. I was homeless for a very long time and I needed to steal etc.". The princess would be sorry for him, she'd hug him and tell him that everything will be alright

"Well i did ask you to tell me about yourself~" The Aasimar finds himself strangely bewitched by her mannerisms. And as if caught into her spell, he goes onto explain his life to her. Describing his life as a warrior, having crusaded across the lands for justice in the name of the kingdom, and recently having questioned his own actions. Now feeling regret and trapped in this new position. Wishing for a chance to fight against the truest of evils in the world, to avenge those lost, even by his own hands. When the princess becomes excited to see she has a warrior of virtue, and dictates that together they set out for adventure under the cover of night, Vhela finds himself stopped again. Could it be that he found new purpose than to be souly a warrior of virtue? Could it be that he has now found...someone...to fight for? Only time will tell, but he knew one thing, he would guard this princess's life, to the sacrifice of his own... In the following days, a group of bandits ambush, surrounding the two, little did the cleric of war know others would be willing to jump to aid. A tremendous battle takes place as the cleric comes immediately to the defense of the princess, but then, knives fly from a rogue in the shadows, blades clash with a fighter having charged from the brush, mercenaries attacked by a bear accompanied by a druid, and bolts of force knocking others of the bandits prone by a sorceress. Together, these five fend off all but the apparent leader of the mercenaries, only for them and the princess to learn, they were sent by a part of the higher cast of the nobility, this same princess's nobility. With the intent to kill her. But for what purpose? The cleric, having sworn his sword to the princess, pledges, in the name of Hieroneus, his life in her honor, an oath of noble justice to her sworn this day. The Fighter, Rogue, Druid, and sorceress all with their own reasons, eventually form together with this cleric, to protect this princess and ensure her safety about the lands, and to find out what plans the nobility has for her. DM: And so our story begins. Edit: yeah, I think I'm making this the new introduction to a D&D 3.5 or even pathfinder game.
