I was fairly new to the game and was shocked to see what was unmistakably my design sitting there, twice lol. I do like it to though. I tried making a boat, but it didn’t turn out as I wanted, so I’ll just loosely use this design.
I have ark on mobile and I don’t have this metal raft (motorboat) i keep seeing. You can’t place near as much weight on the wood raft, so your builds are forced to stop half way finished.
I don't even play Ark anymore (and doubt I will again), but I'll always insta-click your videos because they're just so damned chill and entertaining. Keep up the great work!

For those of you watching this around the time I comment this, a few doors and door frames could be removed, giant hatch frames could be used in a couple of places to reduce the amount of things you used
The grinders have no real use especially for two I would remove them in my build but they look so good next to the industrial forges so I kept them. I tweaked the build just a little. Done away with the turrets, not needed on pve and the doors infront of the forges and grinders to add more pieces in the build. I added lights, an Industrial Grill, a refrigerator and a cryo fridge to carry dinos around.

Awesome build...not really the best way to get metal though. Aberration blue zone is the best for metal. Wish there was some type of craft that you could put 8-10 Indy forges on. Would be stupidly OP.
I have tried to build this in Ark Mobile, and the foundation trick to extend with thatch roofs doesn't seem to work on there. Not sure about core game. Great video, just using ceilings instead.
Why I cannot build any more?, he tells me: does he need a pillar of close support. I don't know if it's because I'm in mobile ark and there you can't lay the foundations below the ceilings
I love the design of your boat the only drawback is it doesn't have enough heavy turrets to be feasible for PVP servers but I will borrow your design and then improve it for a PVP server just would have to limit to one crafting station of each type so did you have more building slots to add more heavy turrets and plant species X and plant species y
Wait a sec did I miss something.. Did a recent patch change the max structures of 88 to something higher as well as increase how far you can extend off the raft with foundations?
ok I've never even taken the engram for it on any server so I simply assumed that the max structures was 88 like the regular raft. Good to know. Maybe I'll be experimenting with one in the near future. I tend to be a raft-rat on servers with a few land fall points to hold tames and respawn points...
So, I've built this boat a few times in the past without issue. However, I just tried building it again and the 3 rows of 6 wide foundations on the back don't hold. The moment I take down one of the thatch ceilings, most of them collapse. Did they nerf the boats again?
No, any ceiling placed on a foundation extended outward of the boat should give the option to place a foundation underneath. I do it all the time when making large raft builds
The issue I have is that it's not allowing me to make all of the final ceilings in the back. It stops t one ceiling piece in the corner, and also stops at one ceiling piece to cover around one of the furnaces. Sucks, and I know this is just a ridiculous bug, as I wasn't able to put the trap door over the workbenches at first, until after I set down other pieces as well.
Fix: Move the motorboat into another grid square, maybe two, and drive it for at least 3-5 min. It'll fix itself and its bugs, allowing you to build properly.

There's an even better way, use a fence foundation, pillar the front and then place foundations off of that.

You can place smithys right next to each other if you reverse the 2nd one. Place one down, then hop on it, turn around 180 and place the other. FYI

It is possible to get the smithy right up against the wall by placing the smithy before you place the wall.

You got a list of total materials used? Like 20 metal walls etc etc?
It be interesting to see a tek structure build of this, mobile troll fob, since you can transfer element dust or get a gotcha that makes element dust.

They turn stone into flint rapidly which you need for spark powder
