This album was made during the pandemic.. they were not pressured to produce hits because the last time they released their last album was x years ago or anything like that… bruno mars and .paak just jammed. This was organically created outta luv know what im sayin??? That’s why its so flawless... its a celebration of two men of the music that they grew up on / influenced them as human beings

Naw. Andy is a VERY talented artist, but his overall talent is definitely not on par with Bruno's. Bruno is in a WHOLE another league when it comes to vocal abilities and performance, and he is a better songwriter - or, to put it better, a better HIT writer. As far as vocals, dancing/performance/choreographing and songwriting, Andy is nowhere near Bruno. He is the better drummer, definitely. As far as I know, Bruno is the better guitar player, so there. LOL The two of them together is magic, though.
Andy is incredibly talented and can add soul and funk stamp to any song or genre. He is a VIBE and a unique musical talent. You just can’t underestimate that black church foundation that inspired so many other greats: Whitney, Aretha, James Brown, Ray Charles. That’s the legacy. No wonder that he is THE preferred collaborator today across multiple genres.
The more often you hear the new songs, the better they'll get too. If they add more videos it'll have an even bigger impact. Great reaction guys!
Well said. Some I liked but the more I listen I absolutely LOVED like 777 ,Blast off, and Fly As Me yeah those are some great ones too. In their interviews they said they did this during the pandemic and it gave them both a chance to perform, that's why there's elements of Anderson's style and elements of Bruno's style. Best of both worlds with their love of the 70's.

This whole album is just a master piece. It got me feeling happy, crying and made me forget about my depression but also remind me my happiest moments in my life. So much life was put into this for all the men out here to get their spirits lifted. This is beyond beautiful.

Blast Off is what they called "Psychedelic" back in the day and it couldn't be more relative when it comes to this song. It definitely gives you that feeling and you ain't smoked a damn thing. It's crazy 🤪 but I love it. The whole album is a banger to me and should definitely be up for Album of the Year.

I hear some people saying that although As Fly As Me and 777 is dope but a different vibe, but the whole album is one story. Then she put it on you real good one night and After Last Night you realize you love her. You do everything for her spend money take care of the kids and you find out she ain’t for you she in the streets. And you are upset and Smoking Out The Window. You have calmed down and can admit that you have been Putting on a Smile but you really miss her. You shake it off, you are back to being you and you and the fellas go to Vegas and you are going for the jackpot 777. You saw another beautiful lady who caught your eye and you want her to Skate over and holla at you. Last you guys hook up and you Blast Off. 🎤 drop!!!

Can we talk just about the insane vocal arrangements on pretty much every damn song, but of the new ones, "Blast Off" and "Smile?" The harmonies that sounded like Roger Troutman/Zapp, the PERFECT ad libs -- not too much, not annoying -- the sheer number of different vocal textures Bruno pulls out, from sounding like vintage James in "777" to that note-perfect Stevie Wonder run from "Looking For Another Love" that he did in "Blast Off" and then all the three parts going on all over? And then that sustained high note at the end of "Smile" followed by a couple notes I thought he was gonna blow out a vocal cord from? He was in Ariana territory, mang. I GUARANTEE: people who produce records will be studying this shit like it's the dead sea scrolls, tryna to reverse engineer what they did.
Bruno, Anderson and bootsy all understand the secret of great music- REAL instruments (most importantly studio recorded drums instead of electronic/pads) and REAL vintage equipment mixed with modern. It gives that warm feeling and that impact when needed, the dynamics that you just can’t squeeze out of modern soulless digitally mastered ‘perfect’ recording. Hopefully this influences the direction of music production somewhat.
FYI: 15:59 BABYFACE produced "PUT ON A SMILE" that's why y'all like it and don't even know it 🤣

Best reaction yet. "All of them?" and "I feel like I got hypnotized." I felt that. As for the album, it's a collective of tens. Even Skate earns a ten here because of the way it fits into the dynamics of the album. It was perfect placement. Production, performance, instrumentation all tens. Creativity, ten. Brevity of album, while it leaves one craving more, would additional tracks strengthen the whole album, or possibly weaken it if it was not at such a high caliber? The album is a freakin masterpiece. A musical feast. Painfully perfect. They went too far that I almost pity all the artists in the industry right now. There's just one thing tho. I was expecting more funky songs. I mean sure; "Skate", "Fly as Me" and "777" are funky and delicious. But I was expecting something more powerful. Like "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder, "Super Freak" by Rick James or "Fresh" by Kool & The Gang. It was more slow jamish than I expected if you will. That's my only little complaint. Other than that, just fabulous.

The album is a 10/10. The sequencing of the tracks is perfect. The placement of ‘Skate’ now makes sense. If you know Bootsy Collins, who put them together, it all makes sense. It’s funkadelic.
