Volevo dirti che ho seguito il tuo consiglio in merito all'acquisto del Prologue: è davvero un gran bel synth: nella sua fascia di prezzo, suono e potenzialità davvero strabilianti! ora sono cascato su questi tuoi tre video sul SY77, che mi hanno fatto scoprire un mezzo che ,nonostante l'età, sembra avere delle qualità sonore davvero notevoli e mi chiedo: al giusto prezzo, avrebbe ancora senso un acquisto del genere? Te lo chiedo perché ho cercato di capire se un modx potesse avere la stessa carica sonora ma, visto il differente tipo di generazione del suono, non mi sembra possano essere messi a confronto... Oltretutto, a parte un VST Syntronik 2 (che però ho idea mangi un mare di spazio su disco rigido), non mi risulta ci siano delle emulazioni software della bestiola... Tu ritieni quindi che, se ne valesse la pena, come costo d'acquisto, spazio occupato, potenzialità ecc ecc, possa aver senso un acquisto in tal senso? Ciao e sempre complimenti (anche se con anni di ritardo)
16 voice polyphony in the AWM engine and 16 in the AFM engine. Voyager uses 2 stacked AWM sounds and 2 stacked AFM sounds so that brings the polyphony down to 8.
@@F0nkyNinja Thank God for Synth Plugins where you can easily have 128 voice polyphony on the most complex sounds, that means no dropping off on notes on heavily sustained sounds.
@@bobbybearing1767 I don't see the need for that much polyphony. Do you ever play chords with more than 8 notes? With 8, even using a sustain pedal it sounds good, just the right amount of cut notes. 16 is more than enough.
@@F0nkyNinja Sometimes, I used to have an SY77 back in the early 90's and when using the sequencer there was the problem of releasey sounds cutting off when laying multiple tracks. Was very annoying.
@@bobbybearing1767 Yes I can see that being a problem using the sequencer. On the TG77 and I think SY99 you can adjust the max polyphony for each voice for better control, like for example Strings 4, Piano 10, Lead 1, Bass 1 = 16

You should use the velocity, the third wheel and the aftertouch on some sound.... you'll discover why this was an awesome synth when it came out!

I can't believe it! He didn't use a higher velocity with the preset Tutti Orchestra. It would add Timpani sound.

Polyphony sounds like it's struggling a bit on some of the more stacked and sustained sounds like Voyager etc.
