I want to invite older FF fans to be open minded and give 16 a try. I know that turn-based has been one of the elements that defined the earlier games, but the dev team wanted to try new things and I believe they have the resources and the people to pull it out.
I've played every game, and I'm worried about the real time combat, not because I dislike real-time combat since I love sekiros combat but because final fantasy never got it to feel good when playing. I've got hope for this game, though. Either way, I'm going to play it and hope for the best. For reference, I loved how sekiro played, but I didn't like how dmc5 played. That's where my fear for the combat system comes in.
This just my opinion, but I don't see the games being turn-based as the thing that defined them. I think it is the stories, characters, lore, summons, etc. which define them more. Just as one example, I think people remember FF7 because of its story moments, setting, and characters like cloud and sephiroth rather than because it was turn based. Being turn- based isn't something that has been unique to FF either, even with the first game. It's not like when FF 1 and the subsequent games came out, there were no other games that employed turn based combat. Saying they being turn based is what defines them seems kinda reductive to me and ignores everything else about them and the differences between each game.

I love the Voice acting, and Visuals!!! Square also did the Drakengard games which are Dark, and Bloody also, FFXVI reminds me alot of the Drakengard games. Especially the first one.
The high fantasy setting of FF XVI is actually closer to FF1-6 than 7-15. Being able to transform into a summon and battle other summons (what they call Eikons) is something unique to FF XVI.

ff16 does have the best voice acting in whole FF series cause 16's english voice acting is the primary language rather than translated Japanese language version which is the first time in FF series.From what I heard in all the trailers,Ralph have done a amazing job in his role,his deep voice at the beginning makes me feel a little too much，but it all came together as performance goes and gives his character a lot of charm.
Still, the Japanese ought to be the best (it'll still be the primary, I assume the English dub will just be its own thing), since Japanese VAs are top tier, and it is closer to the intent of the creators.

It is written by Maehiro San yes but Koji localize it in a way that it fits the western aesthetic they are going for and Maehiro made changes to his Japanese script in order to fit more with Koji's. The English will be the primary language this time around. There isn't a lip sync for Japanese even. This time the Japanese are restricted to following the English VA this time.

I think I know, I don't think Sony is as bad as Microsoft, it'll only aquire a studio if it has invested a great deal into its development to begin with. Most of the studios its aquired up to this point have worked fairly closely with them, unlike Microsoft, which eats developers in the hopes that one will sh*t out a game once in a while that'll distract its fanbase from how bad the Gamepass lineup is.
I really hope u guys play Final Fantasy 16 on your channel. It has Devil May Cry fighting mechanics and it's like God of War in terms of how long the story is.
The GOTY lineup is insane this year, although my guess is that Spider-Man 2, FFXVI, and Tears of The Kingdom are going to be the only realistic contenders for that title
Most FF games are fusion of medieval and steampunk. I played all FF games except 11 and 14. Been a fan of the franchise ever since. My favorite is still 7 and 9. 😊

SPOILER about Keifer Sutherland as Snake in MGS5: You don't play as Snake, but the character you created at the beginning. Nobody knew who Snake was, so you were convinced you were Snake after an accident and everybody else believed you. Big Boss never actually had a horn in his head in any game afterwards, which could have been a hint many of us missed.
OK why are they showing so much in the trailers for a game that is said will be short? They better have ALOT of surprises for us not included in the trailers!
Gotta agree with FF7R voice acting. I hated the anime style english voice acting with all the grunting. They just don't talk like humans. It was so off putting I had to put the game down lol
