    Might want to add some kind of water separator, compressor air is notorious for moisture. Moisture is the enemy of brake fluid.

    10/15 psi is more then adequate the brake system can handle high pressure but the reservoir is designed only to hold the fluid its not a pressure vessel especially the plastic ones

    ill just stick with the old school and pressing brakes method

    I’m going to try this, the Golf will not bleed on the back portion of the master cylinder. I’ve tried the vacuum, gravity, and buddy methods to no avail. If it doesn’t work I guess I’ll have to pull it off and bench bleed it or replace it. I’m not worried about my reg not locking up, I may try turning up the pressure on an old one to see about how much pressure they’ll take before they blow

    Not as good as using the Motive pressure bleeder (which is where he got that black reservoir cap adapter from). Two reasons;
    1. You can only build so much pressure/ volume in the hand-pumped Motive unit. This unregulated/ unending air supply can blow the reservoir right off of the master cylinder and make a huge mess everywhere. It could injure you, and brake fluid attacks paint. Doesn't feel very good in the eyes, either. I wouldn't rely on just the regulator guage on the compressor to handle the job completely. They can be wildly inaccurate. I would use an additional inline regulator/ guage setup, like painters use for sprayguns. then I would slowly creep up rom zero to no more than about 12 psi. It doesn't take much to pop the brake fluid reservoir out of the rubber grommets it's pressed into.
    2. The Motive unit is prefilled with clean brake fluid to automatically add fluid as you bleed out of the bleeders. This setup will not do that. I you aren't paying attention while at the bleeder fittings, you can run the reservoir dry and fill your system with air. Not what you were going for at all!
    I love my Motive unit, and have made some adapters for the older small German brake reservoir caps and even the reservoir feed line for the really early VW's.

      👍 Not to mention it was a terrible video👀

    Ill stick with with the harbor freight vacuum gun it also has a reservoir to keep the master cylinder full. 25.00 bucks and i love it!

      Little do you realize that you're sucking air from the threads of your bleeder.

      Yeah I had the HF one and it worked ok first off you had to have a good seal for a vacuum and the fluid took awhile to come out and that crappy bottle they give you to keep the reservoir full is sketchy so I spent the $75 bucks for the Motive pressure bleeder fill it up pressurize the system and bleed best money I ever spent

    Can use your spare as well drop the pressure a bit first though

    there`s better ways that are alot easier, not a bad idea though.
