man this song is a masterpiece. A timestamp of what was going on in in 84-85 oh metal and arena rock. I cant really understand why these guys didnt make it HUGE after this album, especially with this song on it. So well written - the mix of light and shade with the guitars and harmonies is poetic. Randy 0 has an AMAZING voice and can hit the highs with the best of them.

This was just a great song and it sounds just as good now as it did back in the day. I remember special ordering this album and waiting for 3 months for it to come in to Record Bar in Baton Rouge, LA. Anyone remember Record Bar? lol One of my alltime fave songs ever. Thanks for posting this and THANK YOU Randy for being so cool and giving the thumbs up to post it and keep the music alive. Cheers!

I remember seeing this video on the U-68 Power Hour and reading a short interview with Odin in Metal Mania Magazine. (Not to be confused with Metal Maniacs, which was also good.) Boy, do I have fond memories of the Power Hour; they ran the gamut from AOR to death metal. I stumbled on it in 1985--I was flipping channels and there was W.A.S.P.'s Love Machine followed by Accept's Midnight Mover. I told all my metal buds at school and we watched nightly, until Home Shopping Club took it over. :(

Hi. Yes I remember U-68. This was a UHF TV station from New Jersey. I lived in Queens area of New York and we did not have cable at that time. So U-68 played music videos and had the power hour each night at 11pm. They played Hard Rock and Metal videos. Great times!!

Holy Shit!!! I have this EP on cassette. It took my 3 years looking in all the used music stores all over Southern California to find it. If I remeber correctly, the best song on the album is titled The Eye. The intro is demon voice psycho babble then the legendary scream kicks in that lasts for ever.

Wow. Cool. I remember checking out ODIN when I was 15 years old growing up in LA. My sister used to let me tag along. This was one of her favorite bands, and I gotta say I dug them too. Prolly saw them 15 times. I actually bought "Fight for your Life" off of Ebay about 2 years ago. If you're even remotely an ODIN fan, BUY THIS CD!!! I guarantee you that you'll come to realize that ODIN had more substance and chops than 95% of the other "hair bands" that "made it".

Heard the new stuff when I was with Jeff & Shawn. I really love when you go into your falsetto...for me that is what made Odin. You did a great job at Paladino's earlier this year. I loved 'cryin out' on the lostboys cd...I wish you had that video to load onto youtube for the listeners. BFD

I know the first time I went to LA, these guys had a large following and were kicking ass and taking names. The song they had that I liked was "Don't Take No For An Answer" which was not like this at all - it reminded me of DIO - but I guess the label decided this had a better a shot as a hit. I never saw this on MTV, but I remember seeing this on "Night Flight".

Speaking of magazines, there's a new British mag out called Iron Fist that recaptures the spirit of great old titles like Aardschock America, Metal Rendezvous, Metal Mania, Metal Edge, Metal Maniacs, Creem Metal, etc. I think the editor worked at Terrorizer before starting her own magazine last year. About $10.99 U.S. an issue but a good well-filled read; definitely focused more on the heavier side from traditional to black to stoner doom. I totally recommend; Barnes & Noble carries it. \m/ :)
