So happy to have seen them a bunch of times around the "Don't Take No" release. Some of the best nights ever at the legendary "Country Club" (aka heavy metal weekend heaven on earth). Big ups to my Duncans! x
I remember buying this album in a record shop in Greenwich Village in NYC back in 1985 I believe....It was a white LP I didn't know anything about the band at the time and took a chance and it paid off....to this day I still listen to the album every now and then....
Gotta love the guitar work here. Jeff Duncan is always a welcome presence, especially in Armored Saint. Honestly, all jokes and Decline of Western Civilization II references aside, Odin seemed pretty cool, having listened to some of their stuff. For Glam-tinged USPM, it’s certainly no Banshee, Seduce or even Lion, but it kills nonetheless.
Muchos aquí dicen que es mala pero actualmente ningun musico puede sacar algo que suene así improvisado pero al mismo tiempo interesante, ahora todo suena muy profesional con sus equipos caros y pierde gracia

@@randyroberg5926 Hey Randy, you guys are awesome! Odin for me is among the greats of Hard Metal! I'm glad you liked the video, I can send it to you if you want 🙂😊
In the documentary the decline of western civilization part 2 this band was interviewed and believed they were going to be the next Van Halen. That did not wind up happening
Man all theses hateful comments of people that have never made it in the industry at least theses guys tried .don't lie tho the fucking instrumentale is there for damn sure just not the lyrics.
Really!? EDIT: Yeah, you weren't kidding! But unfortunately the homeless guy was the guitarist before the one in this video. The guitarist in this video is in the band Armored Saint now
Weirdly, I think they would have been more successful if they had either come out a year or two earlier, or a year or two later... there was a short period of time in the 80s where rock music fell out of favor, and only really came back toward the end of the decade. I specifically remember Vince Neil's accident where his friend and a member of another band was killed due to drunk driving, and then Rick Allen of Def Leppard lost his arm in another accident. The 'comeback' for both of those bands were Dr. Feelgood and Hysteria. Guns 'n Roses more or less brought people back to listening to rock.
@@slaapliedjethis came out in 1985. Your timeline is off. Glam spent pretty much the entire decade of the 80's getting bigger. These guys just didn't have it.
@SMVoid There was a period of time where the popularity shifted to Debbie Gibson and Tiffany being more popular... and then Guns N Roses came along... a lot of the rock bands that started around 83ish didn't make it huge until 86ish. 'Glam' rock always had a bit of suck to it, though. Mainly that the 'look' never matched a lot of the tone. Granted, a lot of it probably came about because of the whole Satanic Panic stuff... Shout at the Devil era Crue vs Theatre of Pain era Crue, for example. Or bands like Poison, where their earlier album cover made them all look like chicks... I always preferred the gnarly Crue over Pink Crue, though Theater of Pain had a few okay songs.
In the 80s I wore an Odin t shirt my aunt gave me because she was dating their manager. This is the first time hearing it. They sound good but look absolutely embarrassing.
No this was just one of the crap bands that thought they were going to be huge. there were plenty of bands that were far better than this man that never made it. In fact there were plenty of bands that never made it who were better than some of the bands that made it huge.

Never heard of these guys. Song can hold its own against anything from the 80’s.
They are an 80's band after all.
The guitar playing on this tune is fuckin Killer!! from the riff to the two solos it is just GREAT!!!
The guitar player (Jeff Duncan) is in Armored Saint now... probably right after this video was shot...
A much better fit in my opinion...
That opening guitar riff is the definition of M.E.T.A.L.
Did he just say “love is strongest at the mall. Nothing stops it from standing tall”? That’s poetry man. Gets me in the feels.
I think he said "love is strongest, of them all"
