Ranking UTAH NHL Team Name using AI Logos

- In this video I ranked Utah's potential NHL team name list and created AI logos for each one. Hope you enjoy it.

I like the Utah Yeti. The yeti face as a primary logo is good and they could always use what you had at number 4 for the Utah Fury and have that as the Yeti secondary logo, or vice versa.
Thanks, with 4 I was thinking of Vegas and Seattle both using a letter on the crest and figured it would work with Fury. I also thought of a horseshoe like Indianapolis Colts for Outlaws.

The UTAH BLADES, sounds good
Blades was the original name the San Jose Sharks were going to use but chose against it because they didn't want to be associated with gang violence.
I’m waiting for that Mountaineer logo to transform and roll out.
I was thinking of that too. I think it's a filler name to make up for 20 list.
Requests
Glaciers- Gatorade Frost colors
Canyons- The Jazz western jersey colors
Swarm- Steelers throwback black and yellow stripes
Hive- Utah State Flag colors and logo
Yetis (plural please)- Jazz purple from late 90s
Black Diamonds- the current black white and light blue color scheme they're going with
Venom- Copper and Black

1 Cobras
2 Venom
3 Outlaws
4 Scorpions
5 Dragons
Bighorns and Bobcats get honorable mentions I read an article that Ryan Smith wants to have the name and logo in place for this upcoming season. Hopefully that happens. Playing a full season as UTAH HOCKEY TEAM would be lame.
But only Venom and Outlaws are on the survey. I could see a scorpion logo being used for the name venom.
Even if I'm not a fan of Utah Venom name, the logo looks great. But in my opinion Utah Yeti logo is the best. I would like to see Utah Mammoth logo in different colours
What colors? I'm open for suggestions on what colors/logos people want to see for the next round selection.
@@JustMikeDotTv I thought maroon, blue and gray... For a next video you could ask AI to generate some NHL future expansion teams (it's just a suggestion). Here's my imaginary list: Louisiana Rougarou (Black/blue/green) Wyoming Bison (Blue/white/red) New England Vampires (Dark blue/red/silver) Montana Cougars, Minnesota Wendigo, Maine Moose and Sacramento Bears

SWARM is my #1 choice for sure
I really do like the name. It makes sense and they're "swarming" the ice. But I just hate that when you google "Utah Swarm" a youth baseball team pops up. I know in the end it's no big deal but I prefer a name that hasn't been done yet.

I thought of a Sundance theme for their name. Mastadons is close to Mammoth.

Interesting about the scorpions. Most people (myself included) went for the snake. But I would consider a scorpion if it makes the next round.
The Utah Swarm or Utah Sting. Arena would be know as The Hive. Team entrance song ... The Hives “Tick , Tick , Tick ... Boom”.
Sounds like Swarm and Yeti are the top 2 for lots of people. Less Outlaws and Venom.

I have a Ranking NHL team name video. I talk about how I feel about it. It's not something that has to do with the city. But team success can make a person overlook it.
I voted for Outlaws. That would make for a great logo.

I agree, I think Swarm sounds better. It was originally number 1 but I made a last minute switch cuz I googled every name and youth baseball popped up and it through me off.
But I do think yellow and black would connect them to current Utah Jazz branding.
UTAH GRIZZLIES would be another name for a relocated NHL team for AI logo
@@richardlittle1663 I have it in a previous video where I made AI logos for potential names based on fan input on social media before they had the 20 name voting. It includes Golden Eagles, Elk, Stingers, etc.

Feed all pertinent info re Salt Lake City, Utah, and hockey into a computer. Ask AI to generate names along with a rationale. Compare the two. I suspect AI will come up with IMAGINATIVE names that mere mortals would never dream of. Yes, you LOVE Yetis. Now explain why, i.e. how the name of a legendary creature from a mountain range in the eastern hemisphere is such a good fit for a state in northwest USA. For instance, AI might suggest UTAH LGFT where LG stands for big and FT stands for foot; after all, North America has Sasquatch (Big Foot). If you are going to propose a name, back it up with an argument. UTAH CIRQUE. Is a mountain landform (Utah has mountains), is amphitheatre-like in shape (a rink is two amphitheatres stuck together), reminds one of Cirque du Soleil (a hockey game is a show like a circus). See what I mean? If you have a name, have a reason.
What are you talking about? AI didn't suggest the name Yeti or any of these names. These 20 names were based on a fan voting that Utah Jazz/NHL Ryan Smith posted for fans to vote. I only ranked them and made AI logos to go with it for fun.

I don't think AI is the final product. But I think a "creative director" could pump out some ideas as a proof of concept.
I'm sure before Photoshop and illustrator or any editing software, artists who only used pencil and paper weren't too happy about technology.
Also, these are 20 logos. Nobody has time to create 20 logos. It's not even a logo ranking video. I was ranking the names and created AI logos for each one.
