    I grew it because of the rumors. Probably won't grow it again because of the time spent harvesting and processing.

      I love it. Classic all time favorite for me. I like it because it just drips bite sized balls of heaven. Almost like a mini, morsel of Fatalii or something with an added jungle funk. The red are just as good. Great for small or large containers and to just have ready for grabbing on the go. Easy. These things are on the table at every road side restaurant in Iquitos. Rather than salt and pepper. You get Aji Charapita and a lime wedge.

    is the comment about the price a joke? I am Peruvian and I know they go pretty cheap here (as all produce in the country), but aren't they pretty expensive in Europe?

    • @PepperGuru
      @PepperGuru  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was a rumor spread by a marketing specialist. Check the description for more info!

      @@PepperGuru supply demand, look it the current price in europe (dried). Given its unique aroma it appears to be expensive.

      @@sourdough7818 No. Cheapest pepper on earth. Really. It was a marketing campaign by one guy. Piggybacked articles and the speed of travel for rumors. Nothing more.

      @@PepperGuru as much as I know. Best start this year for me yet with proper grow lights, soil medium etc. Its hard to find proper info, certainly no one out there seems to be producing plants like you are. Do you have any literature you reccomend or videos you made or someone else did? I watched your first 30 days one, I'm good with that, I need that next 30 now haha

      @@PepperGuru I think they may have been rootbound.. the ones I uppotted are looking more dark green than light in 24 ish hours. I thought I read they "liked being rootbound and potted up twice". Should I have gone to a bigger container possibly after my 3" starter pots? Balanced ferts always instead of higher N early?

    • @PepperGuru
      @PepperGuru  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@chompers11 Being root bound won't generally lead to any nutrient uptake issues that would cause the plant to go yellow. Simply put, it root bound roots are saturated in nutrient rich solution, they are going to uptake that and not be yellow. While I will always recommend going bigger on container root space, being root bound likely wasn't your issue with the yellowing. Sounds like your nutrition in the medium was depleted and your up potting introduced a more nutrient rich environment with the new medium.
