Lalo's death was the coolest for me. I knew Gus would survive because he had plot armor but the plot was so well elaborated that it got me wondering how he'd get away with it this time
I firmly believe that Gustavo Fring is one of the best villains of all time. On par with Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men. Scary when he needed to be, a chameleon the rest of the time. Phenomenal acting.
Lalo's final scene reminded me of the smile on the Joker's face in the Keaton/Nicholson Batman movie. I CAN'T be the only one who got those vibes, can I?

I will say, it's interesting how this scene mirrors Gus's own initiation. It's interesting how Gus moves when Walt says that if you kill Jesse, he doesn't have him. I think it's completely possible Gus would have killed Jesse to teach Walt a lesson, but decided against it due to it being the motivation for destoying the cartel.
Some people think Gus killed Victor to send a message, well maybe, but the main reason was that Victor was seen on the crimescene of Gale. In a scene before, Gus asked Mike if there were any witnesses and Mike said that Victor was seen by Gales neighbours.
The way that stoic Mike Ehrmantrout aims his gun at Gus after he slits Victor's throat is one of the most impactful bits for me. Even Mike, who has seen and done it all, is reduced to raw instinct as his hands move on their own without him thinking. Masterful performance all around.
