This camp was one of my faves, two locations one camp... I definitely saw u on that hill I thought it was climbers out late but it was you, that was me down by the river thinking where to go. Ah gutted you left your water mate. What a pain having to pack everything up. Well done for not getting annoyed about it though and also finding a new pitch. I know what an effort that is. That first pitch looked great. You do find some cracking little spots.
It's a brilliant spot Mark, I'm definitely going back this winter it's very accessible. I did enjoy it a lot this camp despite it's challenges. Cheers mate.
Thanks for the great content. I have several lists depending on the type of camp and time of year. If you were going to boil it anyway it might have been worth nipping down to the brook and filling up from there?

I've kipped up on Carl Wark a long time ago, with my son. It was a cold one I can tell you. It's actually the camp I did where the pic was taken that's in my avatar. I'd have pegged it down to the brook and collected water from there, but at least you got down safely and found another spot.

Yeah, like building a camp where there are no trees, wood, or anything to use for cover or fire wood. That is unless, like most campers now days. Too lazy to gather and chop wood, so they buy propane gas stoves.
Over here it's illegal to do what u say, we do the best we can with what we can do.. Sounds great to be able to do that... Make the most of it friend. Have a great day 👍

Get your sen a Grayl water purifier and maybe a CNOC water bladder. Saves space and weight. Them bottles look heavy.
I do have a soya filter, I didn't take them, I'll check out your recommendation 👍
