Thank you for this video, Robin! I found it so relaxing to watch ~ I think it has a lot to do with the way that you take your time and are so intentional about every thing you do. No rushing through something just to get it done and checked off a list, you are giving your homekeeping the attention it deserves. Also thanks for the info on the little iron and the crock pot recipe!
Thank you! I have been trying to enjoy the little moments that make up each day - practicing an attitude of gratitude. 🙏 I hope it will be an encouragement! Have a blessed Sunday! 💜😊💜
Love your channel! I put in on now every time I clean so I can have some company 😀. I have even started listening to you on the car ride home to get motivated to clean in the evening.
Love a good rain storm 🌧 especially if I haven't got to go anywhere. I love to make myself a nice hot drink and snuggle up with a blanket and just sit and listen to it. There is something so relaxing about it 😊 Thank you for sharing this video and your tip with your wooden spoons. It's something I've never thought about doing but it makes so much sense. Will have to try and find some coconut oil and give it a go. ❤
@@FaithandFlour your voice combined with the rain is very relaxing and yet motivating. I was lucky last week it rained every day here in the Netherlands. The leaves changed colours and I have been making some fall dinners with my husband and son "Robin😉". That's illy and son Robin so along with lovind the rain we share a name too🤣
Great day of cleaning. That was some storm. Bet you glad you were at home. I've never oiled my bamboo utensils - just put it on this weeks todo list :-). Thanks for sharing the recipe for your curry - will definitely be trying it out.
Thank you Libby! That is pretty much a typical Texas storm. It’s true that everything is bigger in Texas! 😂 I am so grateful to have shelter where I can feel safe and just enjoy. I hope you like your “new” spoons and the curry! 🍛 😋💚
Rain glorious rain. We have been so dry here in south Alabama. I hate the wind, one to many hurricanes I guess. Why oh why have I never thought of sandpaper for my wooden spoons, will be a project for this weekend.
Hi Robin I have to say your videos are so beautifully done. They are so relaxing but motivating too. I have never known about sanding wooden spoons but I am definitely going to remember that. Your dinner looked so yummy. I also am cooking and ironing today too. My two grown daughters and I are all going to go to my 21 year old granddaughters college town this weekend to celebrate by oldest daughters birthday. Two of us will be coming from south of Houston and one from Dallas. We are going to the college town so my granddaughter can be with us. So fun for all us girls to be together. I am baking some low carb, no sugar treats to take and ironing clothes to take. Fun!
I'm so jealous! Would you please send some of those rain clouds over to Southern California? We need rain! BTW, just love your videos. Found you just recently. 😊🥰
Hi Lisa and welcome! I’m glad you found me! I will continue to incorporate recipes into my videos - so stay tuned! Hope you are enjoying a great day! 💛🤗💛
I never thought of using sand paper to refresh my wooden utensils. I just tossed them and bought more🤦🏾♀️ I remember the rain sounds at my Bigmama’s house in Texas as well. She had a tin roof too. I miss that sound☺️Thank you so much for sharing💕
Good morning to you sweet friend & neighbor...hugs from me in Houston!!!! Ahhhh, the sound of FALL rolling in for us here in TEXAS :) Astros fans here, so LOVE the orange color (soap) :) I am going to take your idea about the acorns, BEAUTIFUL! Hi Janet! A metal roof is great for listening to the rain, but they last forever. They do not ever need replacement- unless you had a horrible hail storm and then it would just be for cosmetic purposes. 😄 They are popular around here. The orange soap is growing on me. 🍊 😀 Hope you are enjoying a lovely day! 🧡

you really have a gift for homemaking!! :) by the way, I miss your shopping hauls for food, and bible videos :) have you always been a christian or are you a convert?
I wish I loved food from the crockpot, but it just tastes bad to me. I have tried so many times, in so many ways, but it never tastes right. I do love low and slow cooked foods in my Le Creuset pans and those taste amazing in the oven at low heat. My mom was an amazing southern cook and use to say the same thing, and when I took a cooking class from a famous chef in San Francisco he said that they were not made for cooking . Everything gets too watery and meats get either tough or mushy and lose their flavor. I keep trying though, as I would love the easy aspect of it now that I work away from home all day long.
Lisa Ellis try pan searing your meat first and then putting into the crock pot. I do this and only slow cook for 2-3 hours since for some strange reason my crock pot cooks faster than it should lol
@@Kelleykellz7 I think the long cooking may be my problem--you are right! I leave for work at 7:15 and am not often home before 5:00. I have seared prior to the crock pot, but the result is about the same--it is edible but not delicious like it should be.
