LOVE IT! Get a higher Windshield for the newer cats. I remember years ago Guys doing Radar runs. People lost MPH with Shorty Windshields and no windshields vs Stock standard height 15inch tall. With No other changes. Made 10 mph more. The Human Body has a lot of Air resistance.
134 mph and it has a ratchet strap holding the motor in haha I love it. Don't understand estimate those late 90s early 2000s sleds, it was all about big power and didn't have nearly the emissions the have today to worry about. My wife rides my old sled a 2003 mxzx rev 600ho and a buddys wife has a 2016 mxz blizzard 600etec and that 03 rev will smoke the newer 600 every time, of the start, top end and every where in-between. That 03 will keep up with my 800 to 60-70mph. I'ld say it has close to an extra 10mph advantage on top end to the new one too. I've ridden the 2016 for a whole day and could tell it was lacking compared to the rev. Now I'm sure a 2016 xrs has a little more then the blizzard but I was just shocked, figured 13yrs newer and fule injection compared to carbs but not even really close and they are both bone stock. I'm just talking speed on the lake of course handling through the trail it's another story.
Young man we got races on lake st. Clair. I know there moded out. Stretched, boosted, these guys are into it. There doing it tomorrow 2/19/22 at the fair haven boat launch. I know there's no way now. But if you ever get a chance get there. I'm pretty sure it's an 1/8 mile. And they be flying. The fastest come from harsens island. Sits in the middle of the st. Clair river between Canada & U. S. A. But the races are in America. I'll try and send some pics tomorrow if it happens. We had rain the other day, don't know the ramp conditions. Later.
the sidewinder has a turbo dynamics 330 horse power race tune and some of the necessary upgrades to support that tune, and the T-cat has a yamaha vector engine with upgraded rods and head studs and an Mpi turbo kit we took off a blown up viper.
the T cat has a carburated yamaha vector 4 stroke motor in it with a MPI 190 horsepower turbo kit off a newer yamaha viper that I've modified and set up to run over 300 horsepower. the sidewinder has a turbo dynamics 330 horsepower race tune and the T cat can hang with it all day long...its actually a bit faster too. we have another video of it where i fix the carb caps and show how its running over 35 psi of boost! thanks for watching 🍻.
