- Our brother Bob was visiting with his three dogs and Belle the beagle kept getting out somehow. We finally caught her in the act (while the other dogs acted as the lookouts). She's either part cat or part monkey...or she's just a beagle.
By the way, the whining is not coming from Belle. The other dogs were whining because their owner had just walked away. That's why they're all looking that direction (as Belle makes her Jail Break).

The slow motion was so that us beagle owners can appreciate what big assholes our babies can be when they want to show us whos boss

They are very smart dogs.
Belle belongs to our brother and she is definitely an inside dog when she is home with him. She lives in the house with 2 other dogs and even gets to sleep on the human bed. She was in the kennel on the day this video was filmed just because she was visiting our place and all the dogs were in the kennel while their owner was unloading his car.

We normally would not have 4 dogs in such a kennel! All 4 of those in the video were just visting for a couple of days and we had no fence to keep them from going into the road, so the kennel was the safest choice for short times outside.

@iammetx No, the whining is not Belle! I was worried that people would think that. The whining is coming from the other dogs, as they look toward where their owner had just gone. Belle was completely silent as she climbed and it apparently didn't hurt because this was the third time she'd done it in 30 minutes! :-)

Beagle is like a cat. Mine is 19 weeks now, yet she’s climbed the rock wall on the park which has 1.5 until 2 meters height like a rock climber. I seen her front legs could grasp like a cat and not to mention her coat and some her personalities are also like a cat. She will come to me if _she_ wants to snuggling, yet she will ignoring me by entered her kennel or her crate or her spot on my couch if she doesn’t want to be bothered. The only difference is my baby girl is so obidient and following all of my commands.

random dude Belle and her siblings were visiting our house. They like to be outside, but we have to prevent them from running out into the road. This is a dog house (you can see the opening to the dog house in the back of the kennel) with a fenced area for them to be outside. Believe me, Belle and the other dogs get plenty of cuddling. She sleeps on a human bed when she's in the house (which is the majority of the time). Thanks for your comment.
+random dude Actually beagles are hounds. They are not really very interesting in cuddling. They love to explore, to play, trace, dig, hunt and run. Oh, and to roll in crap. The stinkier the better. A very cute and sympathetic dog, but not very cuddly.

@waltersbg this is really weird, highly unlikely, but I thought I would ask. The Lab in the video looks EXACTLY like my Shelby in every way and her mannerisms. She was actually a rescue when I lived in Houston. I got her in 2011. Does your brother by chance live in Texas? Or did he lose the lab somehow. Like I said, it's totally a long shot and completely random, but you never know.
@Kelly Dorey My brother-in-law lived in Colorado. The lab in this video is his Zia, who was very old even when this video was taken. She had kidney and other issues and passed away within a few years of this video. Thanks for checking. As you say, you never know. :-)

Glad to see I'm not the only one who got screwed spending a couple of thousand for a dog den I got two jack russels that do that and hop from branch to branch on a wid pear tree right to the top to catch the neighbors cat and that's not all! One loves to go walkies siting on my shoulder Iwana rule the world!

clever however dogs shouldn't be locked up in such a confined space. Do you ever wonder why she tries escaping?
It doesn't matter whether you give dogs like this a 100 square foot fence or a 1000 square foot fence, they'll still try excaping.
