- These officers swore an oath to protect rights. See if you think they did that or tried to pressure the member of public to vacate the public footpath simply because the company that he was filming didn't like it. Every trick in the book was used and they were desperate to get ID. Every risk that the CAA is aware of such as industry, construction and the presence of other aircraft, and considered an acceptable risk, was considered an unnacceptable risk to these officers.
Those two police officers are clueless and a disgrace to the force. They need to be retrained or sacked.
How do you retrain somebody who has not been trained ?

If that fertilizer plant is such a risk to the public that a 249g drone can’t fly over it there needs to be an exclusion zone set up until the plant can be made safe. I think Occupational Health and Safety need to be notified that the public are at risk. You never know a sparrow might fart and blow the place off the face of the earth!
Is it being used to run drugs and are the police being paid to protect the operation - to me that is the only thing that would make sense about their attitude toward the innocent, legal drone flyer! Sadly this is very typical of female cops in general. I'm sure there are a few good ones out there but the majority of the ones we come across in these kinds of videos are typically angry, menstrual, egotistical little women who throw a temper tantrum and go into a sulk if they don't get their own way.
These ratty, egotistical little women who probably are so used to getting their own way at home, they simply don't know how to deal with it when someone doesn't immediately kowtow to them. They know they aren't going to be much use in a fist fight or a kicking competition so they make up for it, or so they think, by being forceful and assertive. Only problem with this is that it almost always comes across as hostile and condescending because none of them possess any actual people skills.
You can guarantee they're the kind of officer who would come charging into a calm encounter and escalate things unnecessarily, just because they feel like they need to stamp their authority on the situation. One of these days, one of these types of women is going to spark off an incident and get one of her colleagues killed or seriously injured.

Neither of the police officers knew what they were talking about, especially the female officer. Her attitude was bordering on abusive. Both of them lacked reasonable behaviour and were extremely unprofessional. I really hope their senior management see this video and as such use it to provide additional professional development/training so this sort of interaction with the public doesn’t happen again.

Laws, in a Rule of Law country, are to be defined so as to avoid this very situation where some random individual makes up a boundary or a restriction based on their assessment. Without specificity of what qualifies as an offence no individual can comply because it is subject to interpretation of another. This is EXACTLY what the Magna Carta was meant to abolish; peasants (or the ruled class) being subject to the whims and fancies of the King, Lord or other ruling class member.
To be deemed "rude" for failing to accept their arbitrary rules and restrictions (that have absolutely no force in Law) is a classic narcissistic trait of projection and dismissal for failing to accept their superiority.
She needs to be fired. As they say, "there's no fixing stupid." He needs to be reprimanded and/or demoted. Either way, escalation to the Chief Inspector and then the IOPC is necessary.

People always say "they don't know the law" and it infuriates me. They CLEARLY know the law but they just don't care. If they truly thought you were breaking a law, they would arrest you and that would be the end of it. The fact that they don't, just shows that they know you're not yet still stand there and talk rubbish for 25+ minutes. Its easier for them to try and deal with the single civilian by convincing them that they're in the wrong, than it is to convince the company and its entities that they're wasting the polices time and tax payers money.
There are few offences for which you can be arrested. Far too often they make an arrest for reportable offences.

And the worrying thing is most comments on here will be from people who have first or second hand experience of poor policing . My Daughter was stalked in Manchester when at uni took several phone calls and multiple visits to different police stations to get action, the guy was sectioned as a genuine risk, the police also gave incorrect advice about how to deal with the man. Suzie Lamplough trust were so much more helpful on the other hand. FP and all the other Good auditors are doing a necessary service and exposing poor standards

I think she is worse than a karen because she is armed with an array of weaponry which is an outrage given her complete lack of public rights and freedom or of the law! Just a danger to society as is her male counterpart.
Their attitude is even worse when you realize these two were actually wearing Drone Pilot badges!
