Dumfries Police Stations and Her Majesty's Prison Photographic Audit

  • A photographic audit of two police stations and a prison in Dumfries. The Gung-ho attitude of police in recent days seems to have been suppressed somewhat - methinks they've had a serious kicking from their hierarchy after some serious errors when dealing with the law-abiding public.

Just gotta share how auditors are making our lives better. the other day I was waiting to meet someone in the high street of my local town, which apparently looked suspicious, the old Bill came and started asking searching questions, all I said was "hang on a minute I think I ought to film this interaction" and before I managed to get my phone out they said "never mind sir," and they beat a hasty retreat. I am wondering why he is wasting his time doing this instead of working for a bit of coin he likes getting a few quid from TH-cam. I would give him a real audit. A TAX audit to make sure that he's paid tax on any of the TH-cam profit. The only reason that you shouldn't really be photographing or filming these buildings is because of the security risk, like terrorist attack, prison breaks etc. Also its unfair to anyone getting arrested to have their face splattered all over TH-cam I don't like that. He seems to be vague about why he is doing this and strikes me as a bored person of lesser intelligence looking for attention and TH-cam bucks. Pretty boring film though, won't be tuning in to this "yawn" again.

The guy outside the police station was not aggressive or intimidating and could be used by police in training how to talk to people. The Two outside the earlier police station especially the woman could be used as how not to approach people. Her initial approach was okay but when things were not going her way and she was not getting what she wanted she made personal remarks ...very unprofessional. she also tried to talk down to the photographer.

The public footpaths will be full of people wanting to capture the stunning architecture and the impressive features like CCTV cameras and aerial masts. The way the prison had that adornment of barbed wire is fabulous. I’m off to book a rail ticket to go up and capture these photogenic buildings. You don't know Scottish cops and our court system. If two cops say they saw you riding a unicorn down the High street, chasing Nessie, brandishing Excalibur with an army of Haggis in tow, you would have to prove it wasn't true. Scottish Courts call it 'corroboration'. The rest of the world calls it collaboration.

    Great video btw, loved it.
S38 is a typical case of legislative creep where a law introduced to plug a loophole in domestic violence incidents is now one of the most common charges. Not much case law on it, that I could find, and because it's a 'reasonable person' requirement an actual person doesn't need to suffer fear and alarm. Due to mens rea the 'intention' of your behaviour is critical (I think the accused needs to prove this). Seems fairly straightforward to argue that photographing the cop shop is reasonable especially as Police have an 'abnormal sensitivity' (one potential defence) especially because they crap on about 'current climate' so much.

Greetings from Fort Worth, Texas, I'm an American citizen & I've been watching numerous audits from the UK for the last 3 days. One thing I've noticed is that police still act brainwashed with the bogus terrorist mentality like 9/11 happened yesterday. I have to say that I'm impressed with your intelligence agencies & their psychological operations, seriously, they've gotten into the police & security heads so deep they're trying to stop their own shadows because their acting suspicious. It's not only the police, most of the public are the same. No one is able to think for themselves rationally anymore. Taking video/photos out in public will draw 2 or 3 police quicker than flies if you shit a turd.
Just my opinion & observations, stay safe.

Explaining how they may even attempt to make a false claim of alarm or distress in an attempt to violate your lawful rights to film or have you moved along. You could have also made it clear how that sort of behaviour always causes you allot of alarm and distress. 😂
