Seeing people actually work with wolfdogs in a healthy and respectful manner makes me so happy. I’ve loved wolves and wolfdogs my whole life and I hate seeing people treat them like a pet. It’s such a disservice to such a timid animal

I’m shook because almost every domestic dog I’ve worked with is addicted to fish… I just figured wolves/wolfdogs would be the same way!
Wild wolves usually love fish, there’s even a sub species of wolf that lives in western Canada that are specialized for hunting fish and swimming.

Fun fact not all but acouple of my dogs I have had in my life hated anything to do with fish may it be dry food actually raw and cook fish one of my dogs I had would bite it and spit it out and look up at me like what is that shit

Hmmmmm now she should try different organs. Organ meat is cheaper and in more abundance. Also they are healthier because lots of organs do not have fat. A party made of chicken hearts might be delicious to the wolf dog

@@uns33n pretty sure she was just testing what meat they like so she can make them a balanced diet. So she will be giving them meals with the animal’s dietary needs - she just wanted to make sure she makes it out of something they’d actually eat. She does this with her other animals as well - testing what their favorite foods are.

Where I'm from in Canada the wolves won't eat salmon- only the brains. They know to do that and avoid the parasites that can be riddled through the meat. Not saying yours is though. (just the reason there's vids of grizzlies dragging tapeworm behind them)

A cruel crossbreed of a wolf and a dog. Too wild to be a pet, too domestic to be released. Thankfully there's places like Alveus to take care of them when the idiots that breed them realize they're in over their head.

Live fish are a LOT more expensive than you think, and the pond would have to be remade to be fish safe.

Kind of confused as to what's the point of saving these animals but then paying for other anims to be bred in factory farms where they're tortured before being brutally slaughtered and then fed to these wolves.
Basically killing thousands of animals to save a few (plus a ton of suffering).
The farmed salmon is pretty different from what they would eat if they were wolves from the PNW so I’m guessing your far away from a coast

What are you talking about? I have never seen anyone who isn’t crazy say that humans are vegan. And even if we were we’re still two very different species.

No one said to be vegan lmao, not even Maya. Also, comparing apples to oranges is a horrible way to make your point.
You really need to interact with the wolves especially if they arent going back to the wild and need to be able to be seen as a member of the pack or some bad things can and will happen. Hell even with knowing a wolf for years it get still have a bad day and knip yeah. But the knip is alot worse if your not a memeber of the pack. [Make sure not to wear baggy clothes or anything with a hood around them because they like to nibble and tear at loose clothing]
Also for the feeding you need to feed them whole or mostly whole animals with fur and bones or they wont get the proper nutrients they need. Plus organ meat. They have a way different dietery needs then a normal dog.
