question does that quick drain plug apply to real off roaders looks like it can be a nightmare if a rock hits the valve or something scrapes it

Where would you dispose of the old oil?
You should check out the Stahlbus system. I have it and it’s better than the fumoto. Sticks out less and lets the oil flow more directly. Same no-drip no mess too! O3D Jeeps reviewed it a while back.

I picked one up a month ago and set it aside till my next oil change, which was today and FYI it doesn't fit if you have an EVO oil pan skid...actually I don't see it fitting any oil pan skid unless it's one of those big integrated oil/trans skid plate and even that might be hit or miss. Not to sound like a douche but as someone already referenced, it's more of a Mallcrawler friendly mod. Unless you can find a skid that can fit and keeps this valve protected I'd advise against it. If that thing breaks off then you'd need a new oil pan and that's where things are truly going to get messy.

The new Valvomax drains are far superior and safer to the older Fumoto. Check them out!
Did you do a video for your transmission fluid change?
should have a threaded plug so that it cannt leak . you take plug off when you are ready to drain
Use an oil extractor. Easiest and cleanest method.

It's awesome. I will definitely get one for my other 2 vehicles, but my jeep doesn't have a oil pressure gauge. If the ball valve goes bad and starts leaking there is no way for me to know that the oil is leaking out and I have already had to buy a new engine because the oil pump went out on the way to work. If it came with a guarentee that it would never leak then maybe.

I never understood why this blows peoples mind? How is turning one low torque bolt counter clockwise inconvenient? It takes more time to setup that silly hose. Last thing you want is to introduce a part that can fail. Like a valve. Since I came here to say something negative, I liked and subbed to help the channel out.

Hey Dex glad you're safe man. I saw that you still have your Injen cold air intake. How often do you clean the filter off. Does that meter on the top actually work? I haven't seen my needle move out of green yet.

So the oil change notification warns the Jeeper to change out ENGINE oil only? What about differential oil, gearbox oil?

I believe that depends on the model Jeep you have. I don't believe mine notifies for diff or gear oil. I also don't believe you have to regularly change those as often as you do your oil. Thanks

The valve is cool but I would be afraid something would hit it and knock it open. It’s not as messy if you put pressure on the plug while you loosen it then pull it out fast and get your hand outta the way before it gets all over you lol 😆

Turn your ignition on, wait until all the lights stop flashing and then pump your gas pedal 3 times. Then turn your engine on!

Better yet, what engine do you have? The 3.7L and the 3.8L were notorious for burning oil routinely. My 3.7 saw me adding oil monthly, regular stop&go driving with a little bit of highway thrown in. As far as the V8s go i have not had any experience with either size so i cant suggest anything there
It's a great idea unless you use your Jeep the way it should be. One rock and that thing is toast.
