I strongly advise against doing this with only a jack, especially the one that came with the car. If the plug is stuck, which is sometimes the case, pulling on it makes this dangerous where the car could fall on you.
Either invest in a decent jack and jack stands or jack stands and car ramps. Maybe $100 for something that can be reused often and save your life!

Heyy my 98 civic has a small leak under the car I believe it’s my transmission. Is it possible to get it weld or is there any suggestions?

Is it were the engine mates with the tranny?? Could be a few things like torque converter if it's a auto or seals in general these cars have been on the road a while so proper way would be to separate the components and put new seals in. There are some products made that try to help fix or expand gasket just use at your own risk

+Billy Samford ther is no pan on the 98 civic i was working onand only one fill spot so i would guess you what have to seperate the tranny from the engine to find a filter if there is one im really not sure

I don't think you change the filter. In order to get at it it's a big job.

96 to 2000 did have filters but it’s a lifetime filter and you have to separate the 2 halves of the transmission to change it so it’s recommended that you only do it when you are rebuilding the trans

Please friend, buy some jack stands. Very cheap. NEVER crawl under a car supported by a jack of any kind. This is how people get trapped under cars.

the problem inm have is on the 98 honda civic lx is u start it up put it gear and start to go and then it jumps and it will not go and u put it a nother gear still wont go ... u killl it wait and start it back up and pull it in gear it goes again and then it does the same thing: help
