The history of old strength training equipment inspires me. You can only imagine what happened if you read about how the gyms were from The Golden and Silver Era of Bodybuilding. See my playlist 'Iron Roots" for more. And of course, please Like, Subscribe & Comment. THANK YOU.
Honestly i don't ever want to buy brand new plates because i love hearing the stories behind them
Yes, I was at a flea market & was hoping to find some old weights w/ a story behind them but no luck, hopefully next time :)
Great to see respect shown!!
Thank you, Scott! Not enough respect out there, unfortunately!!!
Being in my early 50’s that clanging sound brings back crazy memories 😢
@@WinstonCorneilius how beautiful was the sound of a gym with all iron plates, super inspiring times back then🔥🔥🔥

Picked up a few York hundos in Long Island - there is a primal quality that can’t be replicated- that being said I do love the Rogue deep dish 100s
Wow! I wonder if they were even at the old Iron Island Gym that Dr ken used to own :)!!??
When did you get the 100s I’ve sold some York 100s before and yes they came from Dr Ken
@@kjcobb2751 Got them at Fitness Resource - Huntington Station about 2 years ago

Great point about being upstairs. Environment dictated a lot of development in my opinion - don’t slam those weights upstairs!
Eccentrics w heavy barbell lifts = STRONG AF!!!!💪💪💪
Weightlifting history class is in session.
All day, every day! ha ha
I joined Iron Island the day it opened. Maybe I used these plates!
