Please thank Phillipe Petit for creating a way for us to remember the twin towers of the World Trade Center with awe, wonder, and affection instead of tears.
I love that these Towers are remembered for one of the most breathtaking and awe inspiring moments and also one of the darkest moments in history. We will never forget
It is by far not one of the darkest moments in history. That is a very white, western, US-point of view.
@@ena.takeoverwhat a disrespectful comment.
0:42 I love the Twin Towers too, beautiful beautiful buildings. This film is amazing, I love how it pays tribute to the beautiful Twin Towers. I have a lot of respect for Philippe Petit, he loved the towers as much as I do.

I love the immediate "And I teach myself to walk on that rope!" After his dad's disapproval. haha!
Having seen Man on Wire and some of Philippe Petit's real interviews I'm both astounded and inspired with his philosophy of life. Not just that he christened the twin towers with that beautiful walk, but his own presence and soul. Truly an outstanding individual.
No one is talking about how perfect his French/parisian accent is, trust me I'm Parisian and I was so confused I had to look up who this actor is bc I was like 'who is this French actor i don't know?'
Is it perfect? He sounds so american to me
@@mialia15104Yea I would have to agree with you. Sounds like an actor pretending to be French.
He is not bad but not perfect either, he has a noticeable American accent.
He sounds like an american trying to sound french lol. But if you say so, perhaps hes doing it right
It's not bad but he flips back and forth with the R's
6:00 "And with that tiny pencil stroke, my fate was sealed."
This was the best tribute to the twin towers anyone could have come up with,it celebrates a unique one of a kind death defying history making event in the positive light it deserves and the little tribute at the end about his pass being forever is well done, they may be gone but we will remember them forever
This movie has encouraged me to keep my head up and look to see what I have to do in my life other than sitting and scrolling. And just focus on my goal. Because when he said, "why attempt the impossible? " I felt that, I should delete everything. But with school and everything, it's hard fr
"My son, the circus clown."😂
I've watched this movie on dvd many times & what a great one it is. A bitter-sweet movie tho now we know what happened to those iconic buildings & to pay homage to the people who worked in them too. We can't change history of course but we have memories good or bad. If this movie is all based on fact then we must assume that when Phillipe went to the dentist it was fate coz he would never have seen the towers in the magazine, makes us wonder or would he have seen them some other way. Can't believe they were taller than the Eiffel Tower. That alone gives you an idea just how tall they were.
I just found out that was jason gordon levtti. Thr man looks unreasonable to me. That’s how good this film is in my opinion
If I was that kids father I would build him the best damn wire walking thing ever. Thats impressive
God knows who his father was
4:02 WAS HILARIOUS 😆😂😂😂😂
I kinda liked the first few lines of this scene the best. Definitely the sorta thing you can identify with when you're working on a difficult project and people start commenting on how you seem to be wasting your time on a fool's erand.
5:52 ❤ 6:04 💓
8:38 hi dad

Until he got a toothache 😂
Yes
I was in love with those towers as well and then evil people took them
❤❤❤
world class olympian level balance
And people think the Jackass guys were the originals....
Nope
He’s better at pretending he has a French accent in English than pretending he speaks French.
please do subtitles 🥺
umm there are subtitles.
Dose anyone know the song to 3:29
French verison “of boots made for walking”
When a urban daredevil have a dream.
HE SHOULD TRY TO DO IT AGAIN.
Your not funny
You should try it
HELP DOES ANYONE KNOW THE SONG NAME IN 1:40 PLZZZ
Douce candy
Or sugar sugar by the Archie's
Sugar sugar as the French version
This movie was unbelievable cringy. And I really like the man this movie is based off of.
Ture story
"Ture"?
2023
The police is just pure stupid... All he does is entertaining a crowd, and they chase him as if he just robbed a bank...
Yall genuinely enjoy this. I just stopped at like 1 minute in and gave up. Horrendous 😂 glad i never saw this one
Could they really not have just gotten a french actor to star in this?
🙄
They tried to hard to have a charming intro but it’s so cringe .
Eh, the shot of him standing on the statue of liberty was corny but the rest of its fine.
But that's the kind of personality and charisma Philipe Petite has
Phillipe is a kind of acrobater / magician.. so it's not weird if the opening is like this.
First movie I switched off in uder 60 seconds. Could not take looking at Joseph Gordon Levitts stupid face doing that accent for a full movie.
His accent matches the real life person dead on. Have you considered you're just a bit naive
This story and movie sucked. Yay what a hero for walking on a strand. Absolutely pointless just like his life.
You just don't understand the meaning of this film.
@@sofiaflorinahe doesn't care that's the problem
