Hangad Kong Pasko: As We Wait For You

No one can really fathom the extent of Joseph's commitment or the depth of Mary's "Yes". Yet we are certain that what they did, they did out of a great love of and loyalty for God. What they wanted was not glory nor riches, but the fulfillment of God's promise and the safety of the Savior. They remain inspirations to us all especially this Advent season, because other than the world that waited for its Messiah, what they waited for, with much anticipation, courage, and sometimes even fear, was a son - a Son whom they were tasked to protect, cherish, and raise. And what a desire and feat it was!
Listen to this song, an imagining of what Mary and Joseph must have felt while waiting for the coming of Christ. See that indeed, to wait is to be patient, kind, and loving - all the things that our Lord wants us to be towards our neighbor not just during Advent and Christmas, but every day.
