Hi Clare, thanks for your videos. I'll be taking GCSE English language exam (as a mature adult) next year. I found your videos recently and finding them very helpful. I've a request here, please if you could give me feedback on my paper 1 imaginative writing. Does it meet exam standard, what level or grade will I get please? Write about a time when you, or someone you know, tried to learn something new. Art class at 2pm today. This new item was scribbled in my diary. I walked out of the house with an open- mind. I lost my husband 6 months ago. We had been married for 30 years. When it happened, the unexpected news devastated me completely. I had been very strong and the counselling sessions had been great source of help during the darkest moments. I am gradually adjusting my 'new' life without my pillar of support and have decided to sign up to learn something creative - Art - something I have never considered before. As the people arrived, the Art teacher in her summery outfit, welcomed everyone in a cheery manner. I was unsure at first but was shown how to draw in simple step by step way. I soon found myself absorbed in the process and was even encouraged to paint my drawing in water colours. Weeks and months went by, I was making new friends at the Art. People from all walks of life came to the class for different reasons. We had so much fun, looking and learning from each other's paintings. I was amazed how taking up this new hobby has revealed the creative side of myself. This new discovery has been such a wonderful healing process for me. Four years on from Phil's departure, I am now a much happy and optimistic person. I express my feelings through my paintings. I find it quite liberating to express my fond memories of Phil in my creative work. Throughout these few years of painting, I enjoyed so much working with colours - be it vivid or dull - they have been very therapeutic and powerful. With uplifted spirits, I am even contemplating trying out other new activities! Thank you in advance, Jo
For imagination writing do you need to be entertaining? Like humorous? Im doing igcse edexcel english language B and for this question we have a views in a statement , write a story, or a describe a time question
yes, but not good to be over exagerated , as she says in video, try to focus on one scene, and most importantly dont be cliche, if horror question comes up, many people will go for the obvious

Thank you for taking the time :)
Can we write about fantasy stuff, such as a place where superpowers exist
yes you can. you need to remember though to stay on track of the question and not to trail of topic.
Are you able to write about anything, including horrific events.
yes, but not good to be over exagerated , as she says in video, try to focus on one scene, and most importantly dont be cliche, if horror question comes up, many people will go for the obvious
yeah could you write about rape or murder or would that be inappropriate
@@sneakerhead6625 rape is very inappropriate but a kill is not.
@@Adam-vo7cl yeah that’s why i asked. thanks
@@sneakerhead6625 yeah for my exam if I remember correctly, nearly one and a half year ago ahah, i think i wrote about a roof top sniper.
