Have you had any issues since you have had it. Unfortunately I bought a different model for my insignia and I am having nothing but problems. Mainly that it freezes when using media such as usb for MP3 music, ipad and movie files. It also wont play movies bigger than 700MB which is about zilch! The radio and satnav work fine on mine but that's about it.And its not from a China dealer!

Hi.. I have the same stereo.. but the very small built in Mic hardly picks up my voice. Would you know where I could plug an external Mic in? Supposed to get one with the stereo but I didn't.. I have purchased a Mic. But cannot find a slot for it anywhere? Have you any ideas? Cheers

Hi Stephen. I have looked at the icebox auto page and it is a very short description. The system you have installed is great as you said in your video. And compared to the older systems that still needed the info display etc this is exactly what i am looking for. You mention in a comment that all settings from the Config buttons is integrated. What about the Trip and Gas-Diesel/km-h counters etc. Will that popup on the display too or how is that handled ?

All buttons work on the original front to the stereo. The camera has the guide lines which you can also disable. Fitting cost me £30 Brilliant system you can even access the vehicle settings menu on screen as well as climate control display.
I got it from a place called ICEBOX AUTOS on ebay, looking at £240, I didnt install it, I got an audio fitter to do it, apparently was just plug and play
Stephen Davies have you had any issues with the touchscreen? Mine wasn't responding after I fit it and the guy on the phone said that it had run out of memory due to my iPod being connected to it on startup. He's suggested disconnecting the head unit and flushing out the memory before putting it back together, which I'm going to try over this weekend but I just wanted to know if this was a common issue with the unit or if it's just a "one-off" which should go away permanently? Cheers!
Hi no not a problem I've had and I have every connection plugged in with something like usb stick, ipod, bluetooth phone. All inputs taken up, kinda overloading it and no probs. Neither does my friends. So I guess a one off. Hope you get it sorted easily

Thanks. I did the very same thing, I can read the outside temperature through car setting application, but I can't get in on the notification bar. My multimedia is Android 5.1.1 based. Anyway, thanks again for your reply Stephen.

Stephen Davies Thanks for replying, That's interesting. Must be something I have missed or some wiring that needs changing. No problem with no dab as the signal was pants before and i never used it! Do you have your fitters details? Just wondering if they had to do anything to get the radio reception working on yours.

Not sure about compatibility, you'll have to check with the supplier. Fitting was straight forward, only trouble was with taking the wires out of the sockets, they were in tight!

Yes you can change the background image to anything you want and put an image in the screen saver option

Yes everything is still controlled through the car settings in menu plus more things you can now control that wasn't in cd300 config

Im not sure about the lights but the doors happened to me too had to live with it :-(

Does the phone function work on this as i have a cd300 unit without any bluetooth or phone controls and wondering will it work once installed
jack jackson yes phone works perfectly via Bluetooth and syncs up with the buttons on the steering wheel

this is the windows ce 6 version. I got a professional to install it. took less than an hour

Which buttons? If it is the touchscreen, you need to get in touch with the supplier as my unit also has the same problem.
