Today we're continuing our journey through Crystal_Cube99's SF3:3s combo trials! These are INSANELY hard, but I had a ton of fun continuing to work my way through! Hope you enjoy!

Who was the person unlucky enough to have to clean up after you and your bro pals “popped off”? Hopefully you didn’t get any on your stick, that is no good for the buttons. Based on how quickly this whole thing went down I’m guessing you were using a pad or hitbox anyway

I have a suggestion: maybe add like a speed run timer to the screen, that way we can see how much real time it took between cuts, se we can understand a bit more of the pop offs :)

This is the problem with people who have no clue how a business is run. Your asking him to put even more work into his videos for no extra compensation what so ever.
@@henro7383 it's minimal work, just add a timer overlay and reset the timer on a new combo. It would only be a one time setup and deliver a better product. I think most business owners would love to deliver a better product for very little overhead. Many twitch streamers already have similar setups
The taunt plus 2 hits after KO make a real BM combo
That looks like something that would play in one of those fighting game montages with dope music

One good unexpected thing I get out of this vid is all the supers that I never saw because no one uses them
Not gonna lie, these combos are the sickest thing I've ever seen in 3S. It's almost like watching people discover how to be toolassist.
I discovered how to be toolassist a while back. My friends make fun of my robotic limbs but atleast i can do one frame links on command
9:01 - JM that was hella smart. Pushing Gouki while stunned so he is the right distance to have him cornered when the post KO hits happen. I feel an overwhelming sense of pride for you right now 🥲
Dudley will always be fun in 3s. No denying that.
the punch to cross counter is a nasty dudley tool against ppl that parry and hit back mid/high, sometimes works very well against genejin Yun when they parry your attack & activate right after and attack,but you buffed in a crosscounter after your hit so they get counterd and waste alot of meter, has happend a couple of times, but once they see it they probably will hit low next time or grab xD
Dudley having a half circle motion input to cancel moves into his normal punches is WILD

I started my FGC "career" with 3rd Strike (yes, really) as a Dudley main, and I had no idea about that move or mechanic existed

Watching that second dudley combo on old tourney vids happen live made me love this character and utterly confused when i had no clue how to do it myself lol.
Dudley is definitely my favorite 3S character, to watch other people play.
Really really enjoying this series so far, great idea. these combos are tight.
One thing about videos like these is they really make you appreciate just how deep and layered 3rd Strike is. Even after over 20 years, we're still finding new things about the game nobody thought possible before. And these are stuff that's going to challenge even the very best players around.
Imo this game will never ever fall out of favor because of how high the skill and tech ceiling is. Everything can be parried, everything can be countered. It makes for better and better play, which is why imo its easily the best fighting game of all time. I don't know if they'll ever strike gold like this again
Sadly the gameplan of the best players hasn’t changed much in the past 15 years. KO(the goat of 3s) will run away until he builds up enough meter for genjei jin and then rush down making sure to end with a combo that gains him no less than 25 percent meter.. rinse and repeat. The few times ive seen him lose has been to a makoto who did a brilliant set up or landed a parry into her 80 percent health super. Even the best chun’s get owned by KO and Japanese Yun’s who know how to abuse him.
@@robertmanes9333 well of course the base most efficient way of using a character isn't going to change. It's like saying Mario has been speed ran the same way for decades - of course it has because it's the fastest way to do it, but every once in a while you'll run across a new glitch, wall clip, etc. that supplements the base strategy that gives you a better advantage. People then see that, call it genius, start using it, and the cycle repeats. The entire game plan never really changes, the characters will always play the same. It's the nuances and small tweaks, changes and discoveries that will keep this game pretty much fresh forever.
@@r1konTheAutomator yeah I came from a KOF background (although I did start with SF2) and even so, SF3 was something really special. It's a shame it never got the appreciation it deserved in its heyday. SF really should pull a page out of KOF and CvS2 and do a dream match. Imagine SF3 mechanics with SFV characters.

A lot of people like to talk about story, arcade, modifiers and minigames for singleplayer content in fighting games. Nah, this is it for me! Bring me a lot of sick trials and I'll play your game no questions asked. Played so little of UNICLR online because my region is small but I have so many hours in it cuz the trials are mad fun. Strive almost hit jackpot with the combo maker, it just needs to be less janky and rapid fire then it's golden.
The hype of hitting the most stylish carpal tunnel inducing combos is unmatched.
Haha ya man! As a piano player, combo trials always felt like mastering a new song, there’s something that feels so mechanically good about landing a really tough combo.

Dudley's punch in cross mechanic because he a boxer. Capcom really does some good work
I remember watching Behrudy doing that move very regularly when he combos. Dudley was his main both in Third Strike and in SF4

2回目の空中竜巻斬空脚は、1～2発目をスパキャンしよう - On the second air tatsumaki zankuu kyaku, super cancel on the 1 to 2 hit
ローリングサンダーのスタン値を利用した。即死コンボだ。 - This made use of the rolling thunder stun value. A TOD combo.
EXタックルを当てたら、すぐに逆方向に溜めを作ろう - When the EX tackle hits, quickly hold(?) in the opposite direction. (or possibly "prepare to start (comboing) in the opposite direction"...)?

That Chunlee is like a jump in standing razor kick canceled into an ult.....this just shows the level of people I was playing with back in the day at my local arcade. A lot of these I have seen, like the backhand Alex and the all hurricane kick Goku . Dont quote me on this but you can wait a half second more for Dudley rose taunt then finish. Like you can make it connect as well. Its also kind of reset them but not the counter. I THINK. so i mean if it doesn't kill it re-dizzys

Urien/Julian has the same energy as Yuria/Julia from Fist of the North Star translations.

2:32 i supose this if for if ken here try to parry or jump block the fireball, but what if he tries to jump over it, it seems the window is big enough for that
I've been trying to do these trials, what does "swing away" mean?
also that dudley move has got to be a new update bro that was not in the game
I think when it says swing away, it means the move whiffs/doesn't connect
that dudley move is really in the game I can't tell if it's an exploitation of mechanics (a bug) or something they maybe accidentally left in

10:21 so rolling thunder can also travel forward. the initial command and if the opponent is walking back you can roll towards them. WOW right!

If someone actually pulled off that double stun combo in a match with Alex, I bet they would get an S grade at least. I think I remember getting one with Ryu after a bunch combos and won both rounds with crazy Shin-Shoryukens

What's the difference between the green and blue checkmarks? example at 11:20
Green means you did it once, and blue means you landed it multiple times, I think you need to land the combo 5 times to get a blue check mark? It's meant for like completionists I think

You should put number of attempts for each of your clips so we can follow your journey and also know how many attempts it took to finally clear it.

Never liked SFIII that much but this game is HARD. I miss those times.
Is there actually a difference between fs3 third strike and sf3 third strike online edition on the ps3 cause that's the one I play.. Gameplay looks imo definitely the same but the online edition looks a bit better from what I see on YT video's
it's the same game, online edition just has bonuses like achievements and museum

To those who don't understand why it feels so good to land a lot of these trials, download this for yourself and give it a try. Some of them are fiendishly difficult and require very specific timing/knowledge to even come close to completing them, even with good execution.

Cheating in trials but not cheat when playing local or online.Im doing SFV Trials as a huge noob and sometimes i put the player in the corner even if the combo can be done in the midle of the screen.
If someone hit me with trial 13-6 I would quit video games and just become their butler
