How about the motion sensor that appears in Home assistant together with the presence sensor ? It is a pitty there is no settings to adjust sensitivity ...
Awesome. Thanks for bringing this sensor to my attention. This sensor appears to address the issues that held me back from buying the Aqara, mainly it being WiFi-based.
I have the same presence sensor as you. But in home assistant it only shows occupancy and illumination, but yours is showing motion and occupancy why could that be
Shalom Avi I purchased 2 of these sensors, have them integrated into HA via Sonoff Zigby dongle. Latest firmware on both units. Problem is that they seem to falsely trigger when there is no one present!! I have adjusted all the settings to lowest possible detection!! Any ideas? Shabatt Shalom
Uhhh...even really old standards of WiFi are MUCH MUCH MUCH faster than Zigbee will ever be. The delay of Aqara sensors is not because they are WiFi based, that is for certain. It would appear the Sonoff includes some type of PIR motion sensing based on the two sensors showing in Home Assistant which is why it maybe so fast. The only Zigbee devices I have in my house are battery operated sensors like contact, humidity, leak detectors etc. All other smart home devices are WiFi based because they are faster and rock solid since my mesh WiFi coverage is excellent and able to support 1K+ devices which I will never hit. My WIFi presence sensors have a slight delay as well because they are mmwave which does not react as fast as PIR motion sensors. Except for Google speakers, ALL of my WiFi devices are running locally through Home Assistant. No need to use Zigbee if you want a local home automation setup. There are incorrect statements and assumptions throughout this video. People really shouldn't be publishing videos if they can't even get basic information correct.
Loved the review, Avi! That was extremely fast detection. Can definitely see the benefits of adding this for automation.
Thanks for watching Frank. Have a great Christmas buddy!

Hello, do you know if it can be paired with ikea dirigera and exposed to homekit?

Glad you liked it. Cheers
Great explanation of what this device is all about. In turn, this is out of my wheelhouse, but I totally enjoyed watching & learning.
Thanks for watching Tony. I appreciate it. Have a great Christmas buddy

Hello, does it also serve the function of a zigbee repeater?
Hi. Yes it does

Hi. Both of them? Do you by any chance have pets in the house?
@@TechMeOut5 hi
Yes but I think I found the issue.
I had another presence sensor in the same room!
Must have interacted with each other

Thank you for testing the responsiveness! That was what I wanted to know.
Glad it was helpful!
Also, where is the illuminance sensor ?
Annoyingly, it's built in and can't be altered or monitored. It just won't trigger the presence sensor if there is enough ambient light.
legit the worst sensor ever dont bother buying this honestly
