D-Ring Shackle Isolators and Washers by Daystar to Stop Rattle on Jeep Wrangler Bumper Mounts

  • If you're running a set of D-rings shackles on your Jeep's bumpers and have been looking for a way to stop them from clanking and rattling around, Daystar has a solution for you. Made in the USA and available in a variety of colors, the Daystar D-ring isolators are designed to help dampen strikes they may make against a metal bumper. Also, the Daystar D-ring washers will help fill in the gap between them and the mount they're attached to and that alone will mitigate rattling. Needless to say, that's pretty much what you'll get to see in this short video and we hope that it helps you out.

    I run the older style Daystar coned washers and always have my work cut out to jam them in there. These stackable ones look like an upgrade. Agree that the ring protectors are a bit bling.

    I have discontinued the practice of keep any load rated gear, that will be used for recovery, on the vehicle exterior full time. I think the weather and forces that may be subjected to the gear, may not be realized. Example you bump a rock with your shackle, you do not realize that your did, You go to a recovery, and your shackle has stress cracks, and has now become an unsafe projectile.

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm sure I haven't been doing this Jeep thing as long as some but in the last 25+ years, I have NEVER seen what you described happen. But again, that's just me.

    • @UpintheAir.stream
      @UpintheAir.stream 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wayalife respect the reply, I just have accepted that there is very little advantage to keeping them on the vehicle full time, I would rather verify they are in good condition, or verify they are attached properly, every recovery effort, Leaving them on is what I used to do, now I view it as a way to look cool.

    Well dang I can’t post a photo here but it’s a 2021 firecracker red Willys. I found one up in Ohio with only 10k miles on it. They shipped it down here to Memphis for me. Wrong half doors but mailing them back for a refund!
    So I am a dumb dumb and backed into my parents metal gate (my clearance was off (never text and drive no matter what… I’m telling ya… Twas just in my parents driveway. Anyways the back passenger side fender (fender flare) tore off and I am having so much trouble finding a replacement one. I am gonna roll by a body shop today but do y’all have any suggestions? I’ve checked mopar, extreme terrain, quadratic, etc. please no rush in responding. I know y’all are busy busy! As I was typing out ny comment I thought to ask. Also I found a great doggy seatbelt which is crash tested. I’ll have to find the brand…

      Ummm, I guess you missed the part where these no longer make ANY noise. As far as safety goes, I clearly haven't been doing this Jeep thing as long as some but in the last 25+ years, I have yet to see, when used properly, where this is dangerous. But then, that's just me.

    People can steal those things that’s why you have to get some lock

    • @wayalife
