    Glad you did this video. Generally ordered these yesterday. And was hoping you did a review just to get your impression as I’m pretty new to the Nespresso game and have taken a lot of your advice on pods. And have not been disappointed yet so cheers look forward to trying them when they arrive tomorrow. I all so like a strong cappuccino 🤙

      Hope you like them James, sweating now 😅 I just found the coffee well balanced and pleasant to drink but that's probably why I needed the double in a cappuccino as like you, I like a bit of a kick 👍 You'll have to let us know what you think.

      @@A2BProductions after a little taste test myself I do think there nice but just think it’s missing a kick it’s got the first punch of flavour but is missing the follow up of something good that I can’t describe and if you add another shot infeel it just gets that bitter taste good but missing something 6/10 but that’s just my taste and opinion but 100% behind the morals and values. Maybe full fat milk would help ?? Thoughts and opinions welcome 😁

      Great to hear your opinion, will taste a 2 shot cappuccino again tomorrow. When I thought about it last night, I felt they'd found a nice balance for everyone if you know what I mean. I liked it as an espresso but then one shot in a cappuccino was too weak for me. But my wife liked it with one shot in a cappuccino. Don't know how long you've been watching the videos but we reviewed the Illy extra bold forte pods a while back and think you'd really like those. A nice deep flavour but not too bitter. Also loved the Halo Pacamara as a single shot cappuccino (never tried as a double) but they may not have the kick you want (just a nice fresh flavour) Want to hear your thoughts on those now 😅

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah if you can get them on offer with the tin then it makes it a no brainer to try them really, as it's a nice little tin to use for other things even if you don't buy the pods again. Think they were selling a tin full for £6 with free delivery on Black Friday if I remember right 🤔

    Love this channel! It’s helped me on figuring out which machine to buy. My husband got me a reusable Nespresso pod. I’m having a hard time getting the grind right. Do ya’ll have any reviews or tutorials on using a reusable pod? My machine is the Vertuo Next.

      Glad you're liking the videos! We did review some reusable Vertuo capsules recently but I haven't had time to experiment with the grind all that much yet. From what I've heard a fine grind and plenty of coffee in the pod works well though.

    Hi there, I’ve just come across your channel and I’ve been enjoying watching your reviews very much! I was wondering: have you tried (or are you planning to try) the Opal One machine? It’s designed for specialty coffee capsules, but also compatible with commercial (nespresso) capsules. If you shop around you can find it for £100-120. Cheers!

    Hey, with working from home now till Christmas decided to finally get a vertuo machine. Can’t keep knocking back lattes so thought I’d give it a go. Just wondered what capsules you recommend for it? Only interested in the mug size ones....any recommendations?

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate. Sorry for the delayed response, you got around to trying any capsules yet? To be honest I’m not a huge fan of the mug sized Vertuo coffee in general. The Bianco Forte was quite nice when we made the Reverso Intenso on the channel and the Hazelino was quite nice. I haven’t tried the Intenso but you might like that as think you like intense flavours don’t you? I need to go back and taste them all again really as don’t think I’ve given Vertuo enough attention on the channel. In the other sizes though I usually head for a double scuro or fortado.

      @zappybazinga8124 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@A2BProductions Yeah I’ve tried a few from the free box (also got the 50 free ones). So far tried, Stormio, Colombia, Decaf and massive one 400ml dolce alto. I think with this machine I’m edging towards preferring lower intensity ones as I’m drinking black or with a splash of cold milk. So enjoying the lighter roast profiles and fruitiness - on original machine I definitely prefer intense dark roasts for lattes. So of the ones I’ve tried Colombia and dolce alto are probably my faves. Had fortado as a lungo and that was nice but did not like the altisso espresso - thought it was very underextracted. So far I think the sweet spot is the mug sizes as it tastes like a very expensive filter coffee if you ignore the foam. Quite impressed so far and didn’t think I would be. Needing to cut down on dairy which is why I bought the machine...way too many lattes in lockdown and not good for my digestion.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting to hear your thoughts there as I've started to enjoy some lower intensity espressos recently as picking out the acidity more these days. In milk I used to just want the hit to really come through but it's different when you're drinking it black. And even then I do enjoy some lower intensity original pods - like Colombia - in a cappuccino now. Need to pick up some more Halo Pacamara actually as really enjoyed those in a cappuccino. When I was reading your comment just then I thought about another comment from a subscriber a while back who likes similar stuff to me who said the Aflorazio Vertuo pod was really nice but it doesn't seem to be in stock. Have you tried that one? Ethiopian Gran Lungo I think.

      Hi there. If you're meaning a Dolce Gusto machine then I'm afraid they won't work with those. They only work in Nespresso machines that use the original pods and are not compatible with Vertuo machines either.

    I purchased these just before Christmas whilst they were on offer for around £6 delivered direct from Grind using a discount code.
    Have tied both the regular House Blend and the Decaf versions (two capsules per mug) in a Flat White with semi-skimmed and whole milk but sadly wasn’t impressed with either. Which is a shame as a lot of the company’s morals and ethics is commendable.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah my wife like these but they weren't quite strong enough for me. Wasn't too bad as an espresso if I remember right but let's hope they come out with some other blends so that we can benefit from the ethics of the brand.
      I found the Halo Pacamara pods really interesting and they are a very ethical brand too incase you manage to get hold of them at a decent price.
