I have tried theses pods before as they are easy to pick up in most supermarkets, I agree with both of you the flavour is not quite as good but does come a close second. On another note my limited edition Vertuo Amaretti pods arrived today and I’m so looking forward to trying them out. I love the new theme tunes you have chosen, very apt the coffee machine sounds. Thanks very much for this video and I do enjoy you both taking part.

I just had ordered a variety of LOR from Amazon. I agree, definitely a good close second. Enjoyable.
Glad you like them Kurt 👍🏼 We’ve reviewed a few L’or pods now and think the Onyx was my favourite but need to try them all side by side at some point I think.
Are the capsules same as Nespresso ? If you open them do they have a white paper filter inside just like the original one

I just ordered a Lor pack on Amazon and 2 of the 5 boxes are Ristretto. I’m glad it was so similar to the Nespresso version.
Yeah if you're happy with them then they can save a fair bit of money can't they, especially when buying in bulk on Amazon or other places.
I do really enjoy the L'or but I do agree with you about the bitterness... they sell 60 packs of the L'or at Costco for a great price... well worth it.

Interesting video. I know Aldi sell some quite cheap compatible pods so I will give them a try. Just a general question. I know you are preparing espresso size drinks from ristretto pods, but what actual volume of espresso are you making - 40ml?
Cheers. We did review some of the Aldi pods in the past in case that’s of interest. Yeah it’s supposed to be 40ml but can vary a little.
Have never tried L’Or Nespresso compatible capsules but may give them a try at some point after watching this review.

@@A2BProductions - Tesco currently have L’Or Nespresso compatible capsules (strength 9, 10 & 11 were the only ones stocked in a Tesco Metro that I visited earlier) for £2.50 per box (Clubcard price) until 21/04/21.
Would you please review the Caffè Nero range of Nespresso compatible capsules. Spotted them in a large Sainsburys yesterday priced at £3.50 per box (Ethiopia was £3.75).

Hi there. The last Starbucks ones I ordered had 10 months left to the best before date which is similar to some recent pods I ordered direct from Nespresso. Always best to check the reviews on the individual listings though as I’d imagine some sellers will be better than others for that.
