Kitch-iti-kipi - Michigans Largest Spring

  • No trip through the Upper Peninsula would be complete with out visiting Michigans largest spring! Kitch-iti-kipi is located in Palms Book State Park and is also referred to as Big Spring. This park has a very unique way of seeing these crystal clear waters and is absolutely worth a visit!

    Did you go very early in the morning? Whenever we go we end up there in the afternoon and it’s a very long wait to get on the raft and the raft is packed like sardines…but we still love it! I first went there with my parents when I was 5 or 6 (I’m 46 now) and it felt like a magical, surreal place. I couldn’t go again until 2019 when I was 43. It was my husband’s very first time. We went again last fall. If you’re interested, I have two videos of Kitch-iti-kipi Springs on my channel. I subbed, too! Your channel looks great! 😊

      Yes, that was the exact situation we were trying to avoid 🙂
      We went on a Tuesday morning in May, right at 8am when the park opened. I can see why it would be busy, definitely a beautiful place! Thank you!

      @@NeverStopAdventuring We try to do that, too, but it’s a 2 1/2 hour drive for us, so we’d have to leave here at 5:30 AM to get there by 8, lol!
