Underrated As hell keep it up man. I thought this video was sponsored by VIVO because of the in depth and perfect example of it's use. I had a few questions though, the back of my monitor has specific 4 holes on each corner shaped like a square, now this is obviously where its meant to be mounted but how can I know my monitor fits that? Also if I eventually buy a second monitor, can I purchase 2 of these monitor arms? and have a double monitor setup? Thank You
The most common patterns for VESA plate screw holes on the back of monitors is 75x75mm or 100x100mm. Search your monitor model number and look at the specs to see what is says about VESA support. You could buy two of these if you wanted significant distance in between the monitors or buy this: amzn.to/3XLO3zL

Good video. I like your sense of humor. here is one for you. make sure to "shake" the pole when you're done mounting it, make sure it's in the hole properly. LoL.
When you push the monitor all the way back (so there's a minimal gap from the wall), can you see the pole when viewing from the front (i.e. at 5:50 mins)?
Great video. I have 2 questions. How has the tilt up and down been working for you /does it hold it's position well? And have you still not experienced any indenting on the desk? Thanks.
I've tilted it on a few occasions, not often. It hasn't fallen out of position on me so it's been holding well. When I posted this video is when I installed it so, so far so good. I haven't moved the clamp from it's location so as far as I can see, there isn't any indention into this Karlby IKEA desk.
@@Cagruntas I also bought a similar style, but 2 arms - one long arm for my 27" monitor and one short arm with laptop tray for my 15" macbook pro (2016) and everything is holding up perfectly after 4 months. No sagging. I haven't even had to tighten it again but I probably will set a reminder to tighten all the knobs and every 4 months, just in case, because my desk goes up and down so I bet that will loosen things up over time due to the movement.
At the moment I don’t have anything to say to make a follow up video. If you have any questions let me know. I can’t answer how the two arm setup works since I only have the one.
@@visionarywatts a few months ago i ended up getting the same style arm but the brand name is different, and mine has one long arm (like yours) but also a shorter arm that came with a laptop tray. I LOVE IT. Thank you for making this video, it helped me decide!
Can't decide between Hama 118490 arm which is vaguely like this one, and Invision MX200 gas piston arm (53cm range). I don't know whether i'm going to be changing height a lot. But i have a giant 3 square metre window right behind my desk so unless i build some restraining mechanism, i think the Invision might hit it, and that's not a piece of glass i'm looking to replace; on the other hand, if re-adjusting height, i risk dropping the monitor on the Hama and that wouldn't be good at all, it was inexpensive but i may be unable to afford another. My monitor is a 27" standard and is only 4kg without its foot. The desk isn't built yet but some neighbour threw away some nice sturdy legs and base and i'll put a 63.5cm deep countertop on it (whatever offcut they might have, 26mm laminated beech or 38mm particle board), and i can drill into it to offset the whole monitor arm forward if i have to, it's fine. I also plan to get an old force feedback steering wheel for sim racing, and i would probably get the monitor closer and a little over when racing, so this is why i may end up adjusting the height besides bringing it in closer or further away, but i don't know yet whether i'll need that. I figure extra flexibility can't be bad, since i spend all time at computer and i tend to have neck pain, i'm no longer in my 30s.
@@visionarywatts thank you very much, I have a benq monitor and think it wil look great with this stand now I am pretty sure I am gonna buy this stand!

Hey man thanks for the review it’s really making me consider this as the ideal arm for my monitor however I have a linmon desk from ikea, will it be a huge problem?
yea you *could* clamp this to the linnmon desks but have patterned carboard inside that you can potentially crush so keep that in mind. I touch on that in a video on this channel.
I thought I mentioned the desk requirements somewhere in this video BUT if I didn’t, the product listing tells you the minimum and maximum desk thickness this arm supports. The desk I was using at that time was not thick. It was an ikea countertop.

@@visionarywatts Glad to hear that. The HUANO monitor arm mount was falsely advertised as the height being adjustable, but unfortunately it wasn’t. A waste of time on my end, but I hope this monitor arm Mount turns out better. Thanks for replying and have a good day :)
The second desktop that I'm transition away from in favor of this setup has 2 monitors with their stands. I'm wasting so much space on this old setup desk because of it lol. Also it's one of those heavy executive desks so there wasn't a place to clamp an arm if I wanted to have one.
