I enjoy watching your content, keep up the good work! 😊 It's worth noting the differences between a freelance consultant and a corporate consultant. I moved from a consulting position as a data engineer to an internal development team. The key advantages were improved compensation, a healthier work-life balance, and more decision-making power.
Could you tell based on your experience how much difference between Consultant and Employee? Triple or double the pay of employee in general? I know it depends, but in general...
Can you please tell me why would I write sql using dbt when I can write all the transformation logic in the warehouse of choice itself. Of curse I wouldn’t get version control and lineage graph but is that all what dbt offers? Thanks for the clarification
