Back in 2010, it was love at first sight, when I met SolidWorks, even though I was convinced, that there can not be something better than what I was using, I was totally wrong. And since then, the more I know about it, the more I like it. I have quite high expectations, but very few are the times when I felt like there's something that needs to be changed or retouched in SolidWorks, even more, I was not once surprised to find that there's more than one way to do a certain thing within SolidWorks. Even though I may not have any credibility doing such statement on a TH-cam video, I want to say that SolidWorks is a state of the art product. Thank you SolidWorks.
    With respect, Andrew!
P.S. Thank you for such a useful presentation!

One of the largest CAD software companies and still uploads a video in 360p... Really!!!

Hi Daniel. This is a recorded webinar, and it's not always possible to record video at higher resolutions in real time. The original upload is 800x452, and of course, TH-cam applies its own compression. We agree it's not ideal, but the alternative is not posting these kinds of videos at all. We're in the process of moving to a new webinar platform that may allow for higher res captures.

    Here you go:
    User Interface:
    Command Search
Search for any command and use it immediately
Add Commands to any toolbar with drag and drop
    Shortcut Bar (s-menu)
Flyouts can be added in the customize menu
Drag and drop any button from one toolbar to another using the ALT key
    Sketching:
CTRL Key stops automatic creation of Sketch Relations
Shift Key Snaps geometry to Grid snap increments
Press CTRL Key again to bring back the Sketch Relations for multiple items
    Power Trim
Undo Trim by dragging over last point trimmed
Extend by selecting entity to extend, then entity to extend to
    Parts:
    Multi Body Part Design
Useful for creating basic geometry then building up
Copy and Pattern whole bodies instead of individual features
Move / Copy Body can move, rotate and even "mate" whole bodies
Combine can perform Boolean operations such as Add (merge)
Temporary Axis are created automatically and can be toggled on and off as needed
Delete Face can remove faces [and holes] while preserving surrounding geometry
Move Face can move geometry without effecting feature history
    Assemblies:
Flexible Sub Assemblies support motion in top level assemblies
Drag and Drop to Insert and Mate Parts all at the same time using Smart Mates
ALT + Drag geometry to Smart Mate
Feature Driven Component Pattern reuses Patterns to define component placement
Changes to the Feature pattern automatically update placement and number of instances
Copy with Mates is a fast way to copy and place multiple instances of parts
    Drawings:
Hold CTRL while placing views to break alignment
Right Click > Alignement can define the alignment
3D Drawing View allows views to be rotated to any position
    Drawing View Properties
Section Clipping better defines the edges of parts
Section Scope allows selected components to be excluded from section
    Drawings support multiple documents
Choose the Configuration shown in a View from View Properties
Alternate Position Views show an Assembly in different overlapping positions

solidworks n'arretera pas de nous surprendre un ligiciel extra, tout ce que je veux savoir c'est seulement si il y'a une université où l'on peut se perfectionner? Merci d'avance pour l'information.

Don't put energy in customising, every year a new version and you can do it all over again, maybe you can build I't like google chrome browser, all the toolbars are in the cloud, so by login in on another pc or a new version your personal settings are back

    • @EvanRisk

Use the copy settings wizard in the Solidworks Tools in the Start menu before you install the new version. Your CAD admin should copy all your settings before the upgrade begins.
