Stopping eloping is Life or Death, because eloping can actually remove a person from a dangerous situation.

Teach safe tangibles. Like a way to communicate “I want to see the fountain”! Your AuDHD daughter will actually benefit from the eloping behaviour because she is a seeker. But sometimes things are not requested. I have ADHD and autism and this seeking elopement has lead me to live independently and discover new places, new people, and all because I have more Yes and less No. I moved cities so my parents wouldn’t hover and say NO.

It can not always be the parent’s NO! She needs to learn to say NO and have her NO listened to. This teaches consent. Forced compliance is extremely dangerous, especially for a girl who elopes. #actuallyautistic
