My seasonal business had 50 +/- 10 employees depending on who showed up. All College students. Heard every imaginable excuse. My favorite: “Sorry about yesterday. Met this super hot chick, stayed up all night shaving each other”. Each day I didn’t eat a bullet was a success.

I had lost track of your channel for a couple of years until a few days ago- I’m so glad to have found you again! As always I could watch you for hours- you’re amazing. I love the new molding- makes me want to rip off all the door facings and redo them! You’re a wonderful and generous teacher. You’ve only gotten better with 2 years age on you :-)

First of all, congratulations on your world record holdings.
Like many others out here in TH-cam land I’ve learned a lot through your instructional videos, so thank you.
I made a one piece, (Minus the apron, we were finalizing the details.) sample window casing for a friend, & she loves how it turned out.
I have you to thank for that one also.
I’ve been asked to work on her new house when it’s time for the trim carpentry.

Recently discovered your channel and gotta say, you have amazing videos. In just a few days i already feel like a total noob (working in carpentry for past 7 years). Really inspirational. Hope one day i can live a life like yours and have all the amazing tools from Dewalt/Milwaukee. Honestly cant wait to go to work tomorrow to try out all the small things i picked up from your videos. Doing some prehung doors and trim for them as well as baseboards. Cheers mate

I'm an old man. Been doing trim for about 3000 years or so....... (at least since last century lol), I probably have tools older than you are.........and not ONE TIME did i EVER think of doing that lol.
I'm fighting some windows in my own house right now that would have benefited from that technique, still have two left though that I WILL try that on tomorrow or the next day. That's what I love about carpentry, you can never learn it all because someone will always think of a new way doing something to make it faster and easier.
Thanks a lot. This trick and the one where you used painters taper to get an accurate measurement for a cut on radius trim just blew me away with their simplicity and effectiveness.

It looks great, but here’s the question. Does it actually look a little TOO tall over the window? Do you think using a 1x4 would look more proportional in some case, or ripping an inch off the 1x6 to make it a 1x5? (Obviously this moulding is adding a lot more height than the wrap around type.) cheers from Canada!

My best time is about an hour for Jambs and Casing on a 28x54 Window. Craftsman style.
For my cap, I just used my router and put the profile on the top with the router table, and pocket joined/glued the cap to the header for additional strength just in case the kids use it as a shelf since it's about 2.5" deep. Love craftsman style trim because it's EASY to do, and looks nice.

Thanks for your effort in making and sharing your videos. I’m about to tackle window casings next after having been inspired by your crown videos. I wanted to ask you if you pocket screwed the casings to the header? It looks like a stop, rather than a band, under the header. How do you clamp those pieces together to pocket screw with the steps in thickness (casing-stop-header)? Thank you for sharing your knowledge over the years.

We have sent one back and the second one also jams them so we use 1 3/4” instead which work perfectly. Please let me know what you find or if it does happen to you what do you do about it other than sending the tool back until you get one that works like it should.
