Great images and video. I only recently discovered your channel and am very much enjoying it. I have also shared links to your channel with several of my naturalist friends.
Thanks, I’ll definitely keep at it. 150 is theoretically possible but one issue is that I have a lot of work and personal travel in October that will keep me away from my patch.
@@johnkelley2468 Thanks, John. Up to 131 now with a new video coming tomorrow. I will probably make a calendar with birds from the year. I think I can make it available for anyone to purchase directly from the vendor (Shutterfly) so thanks for the suggestion.
@@johnkelley2468 Sorry to hear that! I was out of town the last two weeks, went to HP today and had a lot of good birds. The community garden was hopping.
Well, I've seen all the videos now. What's next? How about re-posting with the camera, camera settings, and lens used? We all aspire to be almost as proficient as yourself! Jack Kelley
Great work JT! That's a good chunk of birds! Congrats on reaching your goal! Excited to see where you get to on the challenge!

Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate the shares!
Great spotting for that olive-sided flycatcher. I keep missing them lately! Congrats on 125 species reached already.
Thanks, Harris!
Excellent view of House Wrens! I have not yet have luck to see ( and photographing) them out in the open, they always hide from me in trees.
Thank you! Maybe try pishing to get the wrens to come closer, they are very curious birds.
Another very good video JT, keep at it, maybe 150 is a possibilty.

I really appreciate your comparative footage. I'm quite new to most water birds and less common birds.
@@thesecretthirdthing Glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching!

how do you keep a turkey in suspense?
Way to go John 125! I heard somewhere that you have a calendar. How do we get them?

Thanks for watching all the videos! I will do a video on my settings and approach at some point but right now I’m still figuring things out.
How do you define home patch? I'd like to emulate you!
@@bluebirdworkcomputer A home patch is just any birding area close enough so that you can visit it often. No special rules!
@@JT_Birder Okay, great! Also--just saw your dickcissel photos on eBird--congrats!! What a cool bird.
