Awesome video! Love the green and red lines indicating the proper and improper spinal/pelvis positions - it really helps the viewer grasp the desired outcome - 2 thumbs up 👍 👍
Great video! I'm curious on how tall you are and how much you weigh? (I totally understand if you don't want to share, but I'm just interested from a strength and physique perspective)
My favourite press is the L-Sit to Pike Press on floor, I can do it with blocks that are 6cm off the floor and sliding a bit sloppy on the floor. Would like a video for that press.
You have to work on your compression and shoulder protraction. Getting the feet through when l sit pressing on the floor is not easy! Most athletes never learn to do it without their feet sliding
Very good video but nothing gona work without as well optimal shoulder mobility and healthy spine ( with no disc buldges, lordozis or any other). Most of the modern people are affected by spine problems c oz of poor sitting/sliping positions and they do not even know it until one day it starts to heart
Thank you! And yes, Absolutely! If you want to pike press you have to work. Not just on your handstands but on your entire body. This is what makes the pike press such a great goal to work towards to!
So much information. I am confused. People say learn to handstand first, and get strength first thru push ups, dips pull ups etc before training for pike press. I can do 20 push ups, 10 pull ups, 10 dips but cannot hold a handstand. Should I train for a Pike Press to Handstand if that's my goal?
@@ericcarson342 it’s not too much information here. It’s too much noise from the outside ;) absolutely start stretching and training for the pike press right away! The strength and coordination gained during your pike press training will help you improve your handstands faster allowing you to master the freestanding handstand sooner whilst also preparing you for the pike press.

@CoachBachmann I appreciate you sharing that as well as the range as my height and weight can definitely vary a little too haha.
