Great message man, I’m a 41 year old retired Army guy who is divorced myself with 2 kids, I got in the absolute best shape of my life during the height of divorce. Still crushing it daily! No alcohol no drugs. Clean eating and lots of sleep.

Man just keep fighting and keep trusting God! I just got out of a year and a half long custody battle for 50-50 joint custody and won! My story is quite different than most of the men I know that's been through it but our children need their daddies in their lives! This is the first time I've seen your channel and I guess it's for me to encourage you since I've already been through it! Give yourself some grace for missing time with your children while you were serving our country. I appreciate your service and will keep you in prayer!

It’ll by my 1 year anniversary of being out on 28 Dec after 10 years of service. I still feel lost but I try my best to keep showing up everyday. I needed to hear this. Thanks brother.

Cool timing for this video to drop. I’ve been dealing with the pain after losing my wife to cancer in 2022. I’ve spent a long time battle grief and trying to understand my new purpose in life. I’ve finally been able to set my course in a direction in a way that offers personal growth, and that’s through the Air Force. Keep showing up for yourself and it’s ok to give grace where needed.

Spencer I have been where you are. I got out in 2010, transition was hard. I did 21 yrs. I’m a father and it was hard being away from them . And right now it seems that my spouse and I are distant in our relationship. So I push through my pain is through fitness and my current job. Hang in there brother, I’m taking one day at a time. I hope you are too.

I don’t usually leave comments on videos but I felt like I should,
I lost my brother in a car accident 3 years ago and it has been one of the most painful things I’ve gone through and continue to go through in my life. I totally agree, we all have a choice we can take that pain and let it destroy us or put it into something positive. I choose positive things and I’m glad you do as well. Being grateful for all we have is something that can be difficult but with discipline you can start to look around and be grateful for what you have and it comes down to the fact that you can’t feel two emotions at once so choose the positive ones as much as possible.
Anyway I’m sure this is a long winded comment, but I just wanted to say thank you Spencer for sharing and Jesus loves you.
I’ll be praying for you and ur family.
    God bless

G'day Mate. I'm a Navajo, and I'm also a veteran. One of the things I enjoy doing is reading. I love knowledge, and knowledge is a strength. My suggestion is to read about David from the Old Testament. Learn about him, and you'll have a great perspective about your life. Thank you for sharing.

I can definitely relate to an extremely challenging season and the impact it has mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually day to day, hour by hour, minute by minute. I encourage you to continue to grow in your faith and stay focused. Everything has a purpose. Stay strong brother.

Thank you for sharing brother. Leading people towards a better path. The escapism of drugs and alcohol is a short term high with long-term consequences. Daily physical training, getting after it, is a long-term high with long-term benefits. Better is always better.

Currently going through the same exact situation. Wife cheated on me while I was overseas came back wanted to work on our marriage she didn’t want it. And I felt like I had nothing left for me. It’s been a huge struggle especially since we have a child all I wanted to be was a good dad and husband. But it feel great to know that I’m not the only one going through this and the advice your giving it’s simple but I know I need to take care of myself.

Thank you for this. In my 28 years I have found this out:
We all are figuring life out, no one’s “got it”. You channel your obstacles and turn them into productivity 💪🏻

Thank you for always keeping it honest Spence. Part of the problem in the “celebrity vet” environment is the illusion of everyone having their shit together. It’s amazing of you to come out and share your pain, and more people appreciate it than will let you know.
I can sympathize with you being the lost puppy at the pound after getting out. I felt the same exact way when I got out in 2019. It’s been a long ass fuckin road to where I am right now and right now still ain’t perfect, but the few of yall that put it all out there help tremendously. The community you’re building will be your legacy.
Also I gotta say, I get it when you talk about not wanting new friends. I feel bad for some of these people that wanna be friends with me, but I just don’t have the room right now to take on their shit on top of mine. Keep grinding brother, one day at a time you’re getting there.

Thank you for posting this Spencer. This is the absolute best message for men, especially young men to hear.
I lost my father as a teen to drugs and alcohol. Ignorant me told myself I would never fall into the things he did, only to find myself struggling just as he did.
I know I’m meant for better. God made me for a reason. The devil will try and tear us down everyday, trying to get us to fall into that stagnant pit of hopelessness. The beautiful part is, God heals!!
Also, you said it best. “The alternative route is much for difficult, but it’s definitely worth it”❤️

The difference between a good father and a bum is the distance they are willing to go for their kids….This community you have with ACN will always walk with you brother and on the days you can’t, we can. You’re human, we love you dude. Continue to fight and don’t let the dark thoughts gain a stronghold. Peace & Love brother 🤟🏻
