I’m grateful for the configuration of the engine components on my Gen 3 EA888 on my MK7 GTI after watching this video.
30 seconds in I’m thinking to myself “psssst I can do that”
3 minutes in “oh hellllllll no”
This guy is the GOAT!
I wish I new that guy I need a oil cooler gasket put on so bad I'm in Milwaukee wis..😢 oh I have the same exact engine.
So to get to the oil cooler just the intake manifold and throttle body needs to come off? Drain oil. Replace. Put it back? 19:12
Awesome job! Very knowledgeable and professional! You've gained a new subscriber! Wish you worked in Atlanta....
Thanks for the comment. Glad we can help you out is there anything in the future that you would want to see on the channel?
@@GremcoGarage I have an Audi a5 with very similar mechanical structure to Volkswagen. I would love to see how to change the front cv axles.
@wilsoncarter33 what year?

Man's is doing the most, he's great at what he does, but relax just a bit bro, man works like Ben Shapiro speaks 😂...it's ok just not my style of working lol
❤😊
Nice video! Just curious, why replace the oil cooler? I’ve heard of people replacing the oil filter housing (which the oil cooler mounts to) due to a leak from the oil cooler gasket. But I think they reused the same oil cooler. Did this car actually have a leak in the oil cooler itself?
I was wondering the same
Hello
the German didn't work on the air filter, I didn't like that, and one more thing Your man is in a hurry. this looks bad on camera
he is capable of many things and very good. please be more careful. some of us here know our cars very well. I like to look at you from the perspective that you work with Snap On and that's something I like, as if when I look at it I feel like I'm working 👍
So it is ok to get Brake Cleaner into the engine? I see that you are cleaning the intake, and some of the spray is getting into the engine.
We are spraying into the closed valves only
" oh, it comes built on? What? Yeah oh yeah, a small piece. Its nice. *Grunts* " if you know you know! How many variants have they come out with so thia far? Way too many if you ask me.
👍👍👍
Helpful for what I am doing but no torque wrench?!
Sometimes you just feel it
@@GremcoGarage Well, ok I guess. My issue turned out to be the gasket between the block and the alternator/oil cooler bracket. Just in case anyone has a similar issue that they think is the water pump but isn't
It manifested as a leak onto the passenger side USA of the oil pan. If I was smart I would have pressurized the system after I took the intake manifold off, but I wasn't until later. I don't mind that I replaced the water pump at 90K though. Also cleaned the valves of all the carbon. Car runs great now
I don’t like VW 🙃
pretty easy to work on compared to other cars
is this the same on a gti?
