Sad to hear about this downturn in motivation. I have enjoyed each and every one of your videos very much and hope to hear more of your thoughts on the game, in any format that makes it worthwhile for you. Thanks for your great contribution to the community!
Interesting start to the game with all those Engineers. Hmm, I never really thought you could speed up building a deck that way. But hey, that just shows there's still much much more for me to learn about this game. On a serious note, Dr. Kieran, your videos, knowledge, insights, and commentary have been truly inspiring. I learned Dominion last summer and it was my first board game. Your videos have made the game so much more fascinating and made me fall in love with this new mechanic. From crazy engines to boring slogs, and from pleasing combos to nasty attacks, you broke down the complex game so well and gave me a new and powerful perspective to the game. Because of you, I started discovering patterns between countless cards and improving my game rapidly. It's hard to not be sad, but I totally respect and support your decision to cease the regular uploads. Sharing knowledge could be fun, but don't make it a chore especially with analyzing the 2E cards which was difficult for sure. I would love to see videos keep coming though! Like maybe a video on the general strategy around events for example. Thank you so so much for your hard work in these videos and teaching us this great game! And fun fact, I like listening to you to sleep as you have a very calming voice and style :D
Thanks for putting out these videos, I have enjoyed every one of them and learned a lot along the way. It must have been a lot of work putting these together and that is much appreciated. I'll no doubt keep an eye out for anything you might produce in the future and I hope the burn out hasn't spoiled your enjoyment of the game.
Really enjoyed the videos! Found them just now when you are already done, but they helped me getting better at Dominion. Recently I have watched some videos of the trend of "I asked a player of another card game if these cards are bad, good or broken" From Magic, Yu gi oh, Hearthstone players etc. Where they invite someone who plays a different card game a lot but doesnt know much about their game, to let them guess if a card is good or bad. I think that concept could also be fun for Dominion. Letting a Magic or YuGiOh player guess if a Dominion card is good or bad after giving them a short rundown on how the game works, and the very basics of what kind of cards there are. Its always fun to see how players of different games approach a new game.
Thanks for all the content you did put out. Your videos may not have lasted forever, but they’re definitely useful in getting basic strategy concepts (Village/Smithy, Big Money, Draw to X, etc.) down for newer players. If by any chance you get a sudden spark of inspiration to do more high effort videos, I bet weirder cards to play with well (Fortress/Trail, Patron, Snowy Village, the +Token events, etc.) would be really useful for explaining concepts like mass Trash for Benefit. If you’re looking for lower effort stuff, full random Kingdom analysis or just explaining two-card combos like in the Counting House video would easily keep people’s attention. Sorry for the text wall, glad you’re stopping yourself from getting further burnt out and excited to see what you have for us in the future.
Man, I’ve learned a ton about Dominion from you. I stumbled upon your vids back when you were starting alchemy and have watched just about all of them. I will miss them but I get it. I’m sure it’s a lot of work. Wish you the best and look forward to the occasional video!
Coming in after a few years having only just gotten into Dominion a few months ago. These videos I think have pretty single-handedly taken me from someone getting regularly thrashed by the app AI to more like a 50-50. Thank you for everything that you've provided and I hope that I can take on the general lessons from the videos you have done to think about any other expansions I may play in future.
That's a shame but understandable. I only heard about these about a month ago and have really enjoyed watching them. So enlightening in terms of strategy.
So sad to hear that! I have really enjoyed your videos, especially how structured and organized everything was set up! But I can totally understand that the amount of work can be just too much if your are not 100% passionate about it anymore. I'd still love to see some more videos and your thoughts in general but just take your time and do it your own way. There are no rules on TH-cam how things should be done ;) You could also do sth like a Kingdome analysis, then play it and in the end preset some final thoughs without any preparation :) Anyway, I'm looking forward to everything that's one the way, as I really enjoy your thoughts on Dominion! All the best from Bolivia!
Fantastic job with the videos! I hope you can find a balance of being involved with dominion withought it feeling like a burden. Hope to see you online!
Your videos are very thoughtful and well-presented. I’ve learned a lot from them. I’m glad you’re doing what’s best for you though. Best of luck with whatever is next!
I understand wanting to move on but as a game designer I found them incredibly useful to see how different people evaluate cards and their positions in a meta game. So, thanks for the effort and GL on the future endeavors
I've been burned out for what seems like forever, so I know what you're talking about. I do plan to get back into making videos once I can find the motivation and set aside the time, and I've been doing the behind the scenes work that sadly doesn't directly result in a product, but it's always at the back of my mind. Hopefully, you'll be inspired to make something more along these lines in the future, and I'll look forward to it.
Dang it! I just subscribed! Regardless, your videos have been very helpful and have made me think of nearly every card in the game in new ways. Thank you for these videos!
This makes me a bit sad, but I do understand. I have a channel myself, a job and a family and I fully realize the amount of work that goes into this sort of stuff. Maybe in the future you get the itch again to do this, maybe in a different form, but if it's not actually fun right now that means that you should not force yourself. If you ever decide to pick it up again I'll be here for it, but it's very good that you're choosing to prioritize your own mental health above forcing yourself to continue this. Take care :)
Looking increasingly unlikely. I'm still enjoying not making these videos and don't see that changing in the near future. Thanks for your interest though, it's nice to know people still watch this channel and are interested in it.
Consider playing some real games vs opponents like Wandering Winder? Just ramble and upload. You're a smart guy and it would be interesting, I'd keep watching.
What if you started reviewing the recommended sets and explored the various strategies each set encouraged, and maybe used that to delve into how certain cards could be utilized? Seems like that could be more fun and fruitful for you.
I know the struggle. Having a channel is great, but if you cant earn enough money threw it, then you need to go to work. If you have a family, friends and maybe other hobbies, then its impossible to host a consistent channel eventho you like the topic. Having a burnout is really bad also. So do what you can do and dont overdo it. Maybe try a new project or just live your life. I wish you well.

There is a night and day difference in my Dominion abilities from before and after watching your videos, thank you for your insights
I really enjoyed these… I definitely understand burnout… but never say “the end”. I took a 5 year break, but returned and I’m glad I did

Your videos have truly been fantastic and I will miss them. Here’s hoping we get more at some point in the future, even at a slower rate than before.
Sad that this is the end but i wish you well and I really enjoyed your videos.

Thanks for doing these. Maybe you'll be back doing more eventually, here's hoping. Godspeed.

Loved your video, they really helped me understand the game so much better. Thank you for all your work!

Cool, do what feels right.
Hello, is there a chance the series continues at some point?
Looking increasingly unlikely. I'm still enjoying not making these videos and don't see that changing in the near future. Thanks for your interest though, it's nice to know people still watch this channel and are interested in it.
I love the video but I know the feeling of burn out and please do what is best for you

It’s the end of an era. Someone’s gotta finish what you started
thank you!
You are a Legend!

I have enjoyed learning the game via your videos. We'll need to play a game online sometime and chat lol
Have analysed all cards? I can't find stockpile
No
